My 5 year old daughter (Sami) has been spending a lot of time at the shop recently, and has claimed one of my Pro's that I had picked up for a rainy day. She immediately insisted on a Baby Mantis like the one I've been testing along with a matching set of my new wheels

In an effort to be a good dad...I also hooked her rig up with Bomb Proof Shock/Lower Links Mounts and one of my Billet motor plates. She'll also be running a Mongoose system, a GT3B radio, and a Hitec 5245MG for now.

The Baby Mantis is testing very well with the newest version of the side plates. We're running full length MRC alum shocks full droop with internal springs (which limit travel a lil around 3/8"). I've been so busy here that I've been taking my time on getting this chassis ready for the public.

Anyway, here's some pics

So are you going to make a Mini Thing? Seem like you've been making a mini chassis of all of your big chassis :D That would be really cool to have a big Thing and a Mini Thing

I want(NEED) a new chassis for my MRC. I just keep lurking the BWD products and always like what i see.

What are your impressions of the baby mantis? Are you getting any unpredictability out of it with thte shocks at that angle and the rear being torsion?

ETA?

Full droop huh? The thought crossed my mind but the limited articulation of the torsion rear end before unloading made me decide against it. Im curious to see how she works out for you. I think you said that the proto I have is a little stiffer than what you have lined up for production so droop will likely work fairly well in that chassis.

I LOVE those wheels man. It was VERY hard to hand those back to you in Vegas. Then you go and throw your prototype motor guards at me. :flipoff:

I hope to have those new axles soon so I can get on with a proper test, tune and build for you. Im excited to try some stuff with this little fella.
