Campbell Buggy Turecker style!

I've got all of the main tube work done now. All that's left to do is figure out shock and link mounts brackets and then tabs or nuts for body panels. Then it's time to smooth out all of those welds and make it nice and clean.

Now onto #2.:shock:8)
Got the main hoop, floor, and half of the rear done already.

I'll post up pics of the twins later tonight, it's time to get back to work now.

Thats right I cant wait to have both the girls out going 30+ mph:shock:

Oh man Im so excited!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

It might be worth it to pull the comp rig apart for the axles and trans for this big girl"thumbsup"

The shock hoops on the one aren't completey done yet. They still need a tube connecting the tops of the hoops. They won't look so weird once that support is in.

Gonna need some strong axles to do that. My Axial rig with the 12 turn motor can spin the lockers in less than 2 minutes.

Yeah the stock lockers are currently stripped I heard rumor of some ti lockers or I'll just get the steal ones that are coming out.
Something has to work, right?

I should have some Ti ones in my hand tomorrow, also have steel ones coming. I just hope that it doesn't move the breakage to something else.

Hopefully the drive train will hold up with those. I really want to see that beast in action.

Looking good "thumbsup"

What kind of welder are you using?

Thanks, means alot coming from you."thumbsup"
I'm using a Hobart Ironman 250. The welds aren't the best, but after some dremel work to smooth everything out it should be nice. It definitely won't bend or break.

Looks great guys "thumbsup" Killer work, can't wait to see them finished up.

Thanks. They should be a blast.8)

That is awesome. It would have been cool to scale it off of the KOH chassis though...:!::lol:

Ahhhh shit! Those are beautiful, but what are you going to do with 2 of them?

I had a similar design I am still wanting to have built.

Get that sucker built!

This chassis was designed before I knew about the KOH buggy. Next one!

I'm sure a devilish someone is going to be enjoying the second one.;-)

Oh snap!!!! Those are some hella sweet rides there!!!
Nice work Rich. "thumbsup"

Thanks Chris.8)
They would look even sweeter in tow behind Guido.;-)

The chassis's look sick! Have you guys thought about doing a panhard bar suspension like the real ones? Do you guys have any good spots to find pics of these rigs? I have been searching for the last few nights with no luck of anything.

Thanks, Brady

Yes, the rear will have a pan hard bar just like the real one. The front will be a 4-link of some sort.

Here are some pics,

Off the top of my head:
Ryan's Six Shoota , Slinky Sam's Tiny, and the TCC Lil' Bastard.

BTW check Pirate4X4 for some 1:1 buggies.

Well I am in love. Grabbed one of these to try and help figure out how we are going to work everything out. Links, shocks, etc. Decided to pull the driver out of my blitzer beetle body... Threw him in and and not to bad of a outcome, keep in mind he will sit alittle bit lower and I will probably build a seat back. But I think this would be a great way to hide a bunch of electronics too."thumbsup"

And here is the wheel/tire combo I will be using on the this beast. Should do the job. My whole girl here is to try and keep it real light (less rotating mass). They way I see it Ill break less... at least less often.
