Just to update i added some new axial shocks with a 30wt oil and took it out on a few runs. She got pretty banged up but it performed surprisingly good!
Also got my new aluminum rims as well.

Those tires and wheels look great. Have always wanted a set of super swampers to play around with. Very cool with that body. "thumbsup"

Would spray that stock chassis black. Maybe fabricate some extentions and move the stock mount positions more vertical. You'll get a more scale look, plus easily limit suspension travel with spacers. Might also get more stearing throw up front by getting the shocks out of the way...

I'm thinking of getting a rs for my first crawler I want to make a comp crawler not scale but I like the mods you did especially the 540 motors....do you have a link for the parts?? Also do you suggest any other mods that would make the rs a better comp crawle? Oh by the way your rs looks great I can't wait to see the new frame setup. It looks good now its going to look even better after the change over

Zno-rc has the 540 kits and there are 3 to choose from. I got the plates because I have an extra set of axles. Metal gears and the metal spur plate and drive pins and servos are the first I would buy. Then I would get shocks and some GOOD tires. If you run comps you will need to lock out the rear servo. The Redcat RS10 is a great starting point, I might even buy another just because I like them that much. Do a little looking around because you can find them with led lights to. This ius just my suggestion and I am sure others will chime in to

Agreed to canton, SERVO, METAL GEARS/PINS/SPUR PLATE, SHOCKS and TIRES. All those upgrades mage a MASSIVE change for the good on my RS10.

Heres a few pics with my other tires and rims the White rovers.

Still waiting on my new chassis but ill be sure to post it when i get it!

I like how it looks with the rovers. Is the last picture at maximum flex? It seems like the suspension setup would allow the tires to get into the fenders really bad. Is it limited somehow?

Ya thats pretty much the max articulation on it. I've put together a short 5 min movie (POORLY edited) but it shows some decent lines and what it is capable of atm. Once again when i get my new chassis it will be able to conquer MUCH more. Ill post it in a few hours after it uploads.8)

Ok guys i did it! i taught myself how to braze and brazed myself a ladder style frame! now ill gain a easy 5-6 inches of clearance between my wheels! I still need to do some work like make ALL new links and pop rivet my electronics tray in and etc, which will put em all in the cab of the body but soon ill have it back together.
