Capra Scx10ii width + element overdrive transmission

This really has my wheels spinning. I have an original SCX10 on the shelf that gets no drive time any more. I'm thinking about picking up a Capra cage and skid and seeing what I can make out of them.

For a 1.9 very good... it looks pretty cool to see it working through the rocks [emoji106]
Is the flat skid "optimized"...and, if so, are you going to offer them for sale and/or the file for 3D printing one? I've acquired an additional cage, and trying to decide what, exactly, to do with it. Like you, of like to use something other than the Capra transmission. Was thinking about the SuperShafty SCX10)SCX10.2/Wraith 1.9 "bombproof" tranny w/ VP Hurtz V2 DIG, but don't know if it will fit. While I can see some advantages of having a 2-speed, I really want to have a DIG, and the VP Hurtz unit send like a great option.

nice build.

but.

swaping the axles killed the most innovating thing on the capra.
the capra portals make the most aviable underdrive with all advantages.

your rig now is only a very nice oldschool ar44 with topheavy cage and minimal overdrive via heavy transmission

so i will wait for your second build using the capra axles :-)

Well it’s not a Comp build in anyway, just for fun!

Why is it top heavy? I raised the transmission by 9mm but lowered the whole rig by about 30mm so it has a lot better COG then the most capras out there
