Castle's sensor boards are coated with a thin layer of something, just like the esc. Water should not be an issue.

Don't forget to use a little dielectric grease on the sensor cable plugs.

Thanks for the advice!! Should I use grease or add Liquid Tape to seal?

Liquid tape does absolutely NOTHING when it comes to waterproofing anything.

You want dielectric grease. It should be in the automotive section at your local walmart, etc. Apply a little to the plug/pins.

all of the people that got to order the castle motors from amazon CHECK YOUR EMAILS!!

received an email from amazon saying that the order is delayed and that i had to approve the new estimated shipping date (which they dont provide)

approved the delay and more waiting lol

Maybe not for electrical connectors, but it's great for electronic boards & such. Liquid tape w/dielectric grease is my favorite combo.

I coat all my receivers and BEC's in it now (2 layers), otherwise a few water drops will paralyze them. My boat has been "sunk" more times than I can count, and along with dielectric grease on the connectors it begs for more. I also coat my 4WS & winch controllers (atmega Arduinos) in the stuff and have no problems fully submerging them in water.

Put a lot of waterproof grease on it and worked PERFECT!! No cogging, sensor worked all day with rain and getting into deep mud pit!!

Just got an email from Amazon saying my motor order has been canceled because they are unable to obtain the item.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

I just got that same email. Kinda figured it would go that route. Definitely worth the gamble, just too bad it didn't pan out.

I ordered both, the 1515 and 1512, but the email I got only says the 1515 was canceled. Lame, because I wanted that motor more then the 1512. But Its BS because it says the 'availability' and we all know that isn't true. They probably canceled because there losing so much money.

Same here. One was canceled and the other still pending. I guess billion dollar company Amazon can't fill a couple orders to keep customers happy. BS. Unavailable yet available right on their own website. Classy move. At least they are doing their part to try and put WalMart out of business and that's something we can all get behind.

I would be interested to hear which of those KV's you guys would like the most.

The 1900kv is the slowest but also has the least power. Engineering really liked the 2280kv and 2850kv. We didn't really do much testing with the 3800kv because we assumed that wouldn't make it to market since we already have a 3800kv in the 1410.

Robert, 2850kv Is the perfect motor for most extreme scale rigs...
2280 wil be a right choose for kit rigs

Just want now to make a comparision between roc412-pro4-hhpuller and the 1410-2850..."thumbsup"

Amazon is the Walmart of the internet. I ****ing hate scAmazon and I avoid them at all costs.

It looks like these motors aren't "too good" for ROAR. :lmao:

The rules on 1/8th scale motors are pretty open. Only thing they really care about is the physical size of the motor. We are working on getting 1/10 motors approved for mod class.
