Castle Mamba Firmware vs 2.06 - New Ramped Drag Brake

Does anyone know if this Drag Brake Ramp works in Rock race/Crawler Mode on a TRX4?

I currently have the Aux split into the Transmission channel.
So when I select 1st gear, the Drag Brake activates (auto 100%). It's very abrupt. I was thinking about separating the Aux onto a separate channel, but with three Servos (Transmission, front and rear diff lock) ESC and Steering all my channels on the DX5 Pro radio are taken up. I have 1 spare (Aux4) on the receiver but I don't think I can access it on the radio. Unless I'm missing something... New to RC stuff.

This Ramp feature would be fantastic if it could soften the Drag brake when switching to 1st gear (Crawler mode).

Can anyone confirm that it works this way?

I would just combine front and rear diff lock to the same ch, when do you really need only one of them locked, considering you never really need any of them open? mostly its for turning radius and thats both unlocked. you can do this with a simple y adapter. then use ch 3 to adjust your mamba x.

I also think that drag brake scales with gear ratio, and it will stop abruptly even with the softest delay settings.

That's not true. Part of the fun of a TRX-4 is watching what it can do with open diffs. The performance is surprising. I rarely lock both front and rear diffs.

The drag brake ramp should work with the Rock Race/Crawler mode. When in Rock Race mode(second gear, no drag brake) there is no drag brake, so there is nothing to ramp and the setting will be ignored. When in crawler mode(first gear, drag brake) the drag brake will ramp from 0 to the value set by the aux wire at the speed set by the setting.
