CastleLink and an HPI ESC

I tried it but it didn’t connect. Figured I may have downloaded the wrong software but after looking again it’s only one download.

Castle did produce ESCs for HPI?

Yes. We made custom versions of the Mamba Max Pro, Sidewinder 2/3, and Mamba Monster 1/2 for them. For the most part they were stock Castle controllers with a different label and software version number. There were minor firmware changes on some of the sidewinder models to suit the vehicles they were putting them in.

Thanks. I thought a few of them looked familiar.

Well, well, well. I found some software to program some of HPI’s ESCs and tried it with the CastleLink cable...no bueno. So while I had the Rx box open I tried a few cards I’ve got and of the three the HobbyWing for my brushed crawler worked up to the 12th parameter. Good enough for me to dial down the punch and brakes at least.
