Challenger vs. Mustang vs. Camaro

Those performance numbers on the camaro shure don't impress me. The Mustang was not that much slower and it had a lot less power. Even though the mustang is 287lbs lighter it still had quite a bit more weight per hp compared to the comaro. With 111hp and 95tq more than the mustang the comaro should have done better.

They can't...they need to keep telling people about their MPG facts.

If they would have geared it correctly it would be more impressive but lack the MPG claim GM seems to get boners over.

I feel like a sellout saying this but, I think for the money, the V6 Camaro takes the cake as far as modern muscle cars go. For under $24k you get 300+ hp a 6sp manual and 29mpg (and Im always saying how a V6 in a muscle car just aint right).

Personally, for the money of the SS gt500 or RT, give me an 67 mustang with modern suspension and a FI 302.

Car and Driver put the Camaro up against a Genisis coupe. They like the Camaro better, which is ok, but they say that if you are over 5'10" you will not enjoy the Camaro.

I am not in the market for a pony car, my jeep is fast enough.

lol sweet, im 5'-10" talk about made to fit! :lmao:

your so far in left field my man.
my SS has nearly 130,000 on it and my DD.
i have tons of friends, with 10-13 second DDs and road course DD cars.
handling and accelerations is exactly why we bought them and want them for DDs.

camaros and mustangs arent track cars? wow thats an insane statement. i guess if its not open wheel or zues fasterered body panels its not a track car to you.

I stand by my statement.

I had a 15 second Jeep and a 13-14 second Eclipse.

Just because they made passes on a drag strip doesn't mean they are track cars.

If you want a track car, get an Elise and embarrass all your buddies.

have the best of both worlds old car with new up to date suspension/ brakes and big hp engine thats how i roll LOL

I must say, our challenger is pretty bad ass...dont really care if its slower then the others, I still think it looks the best out of the 3

X2 the Challenger is definitely the best looking out of the bunch. But if I had to go for something old I'd be rocking a MK1 Cooper S. 8)

Sweet ride Racer "thumbsup"

I love the looks of each one of them, but Ive always been an fbody fan..so ill stick with the SS 8)

you should stick to posting your news articles then. i stand my mine.

when you spend nearly every fri, sat, or sunday on a track, spent thousands in specific suspenion, safety, tire, and power upgrades to go straight or carve corners i consider that a track car. it was built for racing. because funds dont allow the purchase of another car to go to work in, does not make it any less of a track car.

ill pass on the elise. i like my full size american ground shaker. i like pulling up next to folks and watching THEIR mirrors and windows shake:lol:
(the elises do kick ass though, no one can down play power to weight and low CG, and a decent stock suspention. they kick ass on games too)"thumbsup"

Decent? Have you been in one. It is considered STELLAR stock especially compared to any US hunk of iron.

binary yes i was being a bit sarcastic. the elises suspesion is quite amazing for cornering, seeming to really excell at switchbacks/S's ;) guy here at work has one.

tattoo, from the angle the pics were taken the heads didnt look big enough. just an illusion i guess. a side shot would have confirmed ;)

are those march pulleys/brackets?
