I have searched the forum and haven't found a clear cut answer for my situation. I need some charger advice. I have a traxxas rustler and a crawler. I have been using a cheap charger that is about dead. This weekend I went crawling with a budy and used a radio shack charger that charged my 2200mah batteries in about 25 minutes. That works for me I just want something that will also do nimh so what would be best? Below are the options other suggestions are welcome.

DuraTrax Piranha AC/DC Digital Peak Charger NiCd/NiMH
DuraTrax IntelliPeak AC/DC Pulse Charger
DuraTrax IntelliPeak AC/DC Twin Pulse Charger

I really appreciate all the help this forum gives. I could have never built a crawler without it.

The Piranha's an awesome charger... Had mine for about a year and it hasn't failed me once with false peaks or bad peaks... Bang for buck, that's the one to get... The other 2 I don't know anything about and can't say anything about them at all...

get one that does LIPO's while you are at it, you wont regret it! I made the mistake of going with a NIMH/Micad when I bought my last one and now I just had to buy a new one so I could switch to LIPO. Hyperion 5i

x2

I'm on my third charger already. I bought a standard NiCd/NiMH and then upgraded to a new one that also charged Lipos, but then I needed a something that also discharges, so once again, I upgraded (to the Hyperion 5i). In the end, I've spent way more buying cheaper chargers than if I had bit the bullet and spent the money the first time around.

So if you don't plan on using it for anything but crawling and you never wanna touch lipos, the Pirahna is great. But if you plan on using it for racing (like I do) or you plan on lipos, get the Hyperion or the Duratrax ICE and a power supply.
