Hey all,

I wanted to know how hard it would be to make a custom chassis for my ClodBuster.I only have peices of it,so I thought it would be better to jst make a chassis of my own.I was wondering how much I would spend for a decent chassis, incuding servo mounts, rods, plates, etc. What material should be good enough for plates?Sheet metal?Alluminum? How thick? What about rods?I read the artical about making rods,so hopefully that wont be a problem.Sorry if theres threads about this, but I jstu got home from work, really tired to serch, and I gotta get back tomorrow.Much help is appreciated. Thanks

I picked up a set of blue anodized HPI savage chassis plates cheap off ebay and have cut them up to make the chassis, throw in a few aluminum braces and flat sheet to keep it strong and to hold the electrics and you have yourself a chassis, it is also heaps cheaper to buy aluminum or stainless steel rod for the links and have some tap or die thread in the ends to fit the ball links. I have a HPI savage so i had plenty of shocks and other stuff around so just use what ever is easy to get or what is lying around. I found that saving all pics you see in the galleries to a file on your computer is also a great place to get ideas and and use as a reference for later stages of building.
Cheers
