Well, I couldn't help it. I already started modding my MRC and I have had it barely 24 hours, and I wasn't home but for part of those 24 hours, LOL.

Anway, just messing around, I took off the battery tray, move the rx on top the tranny, mounted the esc to the side of the chassis and the battery on top of the front servo. As for the shocks, I but the ball ends on the inside of the chassis in the holes that were originally used to secure the battery tray. Seems to work okay. I am sure others have tried that and I was curious as to how it worked. Over all the MRC crouch crawled much better than yesterday but it has a ways to go.

Sounds about right so far.
You might see a little chassis flex if you completely removed the battery tray (no big deal in most cases)... You might try four-linking the upper axles if you want to tinker some more; there's plenty of info to be found if you experiment with the advanced search option.
Be sure to read the stickies at the top of the MRC section and look through the various build threads for answers to lots of questions you haven't even thought of yet.

You'll quickly fall in love with any set of new tires, as the stock tires are only good for looking at. Losi Blue Claws, and Proline Chisels and FlatIrons are among the popular choices. A set of Axial 8 Hole beadlocks (the plastic option) can be had for a reasonable price, and with some new tires mounted on your modified MRC, you'll be looking to spend even more money to see what she can do...
