Started a new project a couple months ago, when the lwb tf2 came out I purchased a pair and also a Blazer body. I already had a complete Blazer kit so I decided to try my hand at building a pickup on one of the lwb chassis. Mr n00b's pickup he built serves as my inspiration along with a love for old Chevy trucks... Using an RC4WD Scale v8 with a 35T HH, R4 trans with a GCM T-case.... anyhow here are some pics... Matt

Looks great so far and the length looks right spot on man....but did you just cut a blazer body just for that one little piece.....I'm sure the rest of it won't go to waste.

Thanks. I did cut up a Blazer body shell. Just the shell though. I have the cab left, but pretty much cut up the remainder of the left over bed to use inside the pickup bed as reinforcements. If anybody needs just a cab, it's cut pretty cleanly, let me know...

Awesome. What do you use to glue the pieces together?

I've been using Q-Bond, for bonding and for filler as well. On the inside of the body I also used some parts of the body I used for the donor as well as strips of styrene.

Primed it, in different colors just cause... Lol. Still have lots to do though.

Been sanding, masking and sniffing paint fumes tonight... Here's a shot of it so far... Think I'll call this the Junk Yard Dog... I've pieced trucks together like this before when I was young...

JYD looking good. Your painting skills are on point. Truck reminds me of the ones driving the country roads here. Hope the progress on my chevy build goes as good as yours.

God is love

Few more pics. Still working on the body, converting the Blazer tailgate to look more like a basic truck gate... also widened a Tamiya Hilux rear bumper... still need finished as well...

That looks awesome! Reminds me of what I usually drive!

Me too. I actually had a 1978 C10 that was root beer brown and white like the left front fender, a 1984 K20 that was the brown and gold like the bed too. I've had many 73-87 GM trucks, currently still have 4 in my 1:1 fleet, an 81 K30 crew cab and an 87 K30 crew cab, 1980 K10 Stepside and my 87 Blazer of course...

Cool Looking build so far

Thank you! I need to make a trip to the hobby shop and pick up a few things to get the body where I want it still.... then the chassis needs finished. I'm hoping to have it ready for a 4wheelin trip we have planned for the first weekend in March...

Got a little more work done this morning. Removed the stock grill and made a tube grille for it.. also added a Tamiya Bruiser tube front bumper.
