I've never been bombarded with any type of propaganda on how to live my life, but it seems the straight/white/Christians have no problem with sticking their noses in other people's lives.
Yes you have, everyone has. If you're a Christian that has ever gone to church then you may not have noticed it, but you have. You just don't see it as much because you're already living it.
I have never been accosted or confronted as aggressively as I have by Christians, most had no clue (or even cared for that matter) about any religious affiliations or beliefs that I may have. I've received everything from angry hell-fire finger pointing/mini sermon to random people coming up out of the blue saying that they are praying for my soul. I don't have tattoos or piercings, nor am I some freaky looking crackhead. Just an average guy.
Just for fun I try to save my shopping trips to Walmart for early Sunday afternoons, right after church lets out. I dress down...sleeveless t-shirt, grody "I'm gonna go mow the lawn" shorts, and flip flops. I pull my products off the shelf surrounded by a sea of well dressed church goers. It's pretty obvious that I am not one of them, and it shows on their faces. It's funny and sad at the same time.
