You missed my point,I understand what your saying but what I meant was instead of just throwing away all that money,take a little time and figure out something that helps everyone which in case just take the drive train out,car can't move right but can still be worked on.
Or another case could be have the schools sign a waiver saying that they're not responsible if the leaves the school grounds,or something in those lines?
Plain and simple, it's a mistake to transfer ownership of a pre-production or engineering mules (something that cannot be legally driven on the streets) to anybody outside the manufacturers control. If anything happens like some idiot takes it for a joyride and kills a bus load of kids, the manufacturer will ALWAYS be liable to some degree simply because they built it.
The school signing a waiver doesn't limit the liability of the school or manufacturer in a situation where a kid gains access to the vehicle and takes it for a ride.
