Cigars and Tiki Bars

I cant seem to keep the humidity high enough and everything is dry. Last night i wiped it down with a damp towel and it brought the humidity up to 89 but I checked it this morning and it was back in the low 60s:evil:

Did you have it Newly Seasoned?? what type of humidor is it.. I had a similar problem with one of mine.. I couldn't figure it out and neither could the cigar shop. So I broke down and bought a bigger one..lol

And I'm running a Cigar Oasis Ultra Electronic Humidifier as GySgt Hartman said..

Nice set-up!

How often do you hear it running?

Do you have room for a oasis XL?

I have it in my Home office the only time I hear it is when it's quit in the room.. All I hear is a faint Fan noise(a computer fan running) but u have to really listen for it.. If I put the XL in the center it might fit but the small one does good for the small space..come to think about it the xl is to tall..

Where does the humidity stabilize at in your humidor?
Is this measured from the oasis display or do you have a second hygrometer?
Have you tried increasing the setting on the oasis?

I'm not trying to be a pest, just trying to help a fellow cigar smoker out. "thumbsup"

When I got mine it was very dry, a few light sprays with distilled water over a couple weeks and it stabilized at 70% with the oasis. I did however have to increase the setting on my oasis to bring the humidity up (as measured with a NIST calibrated hygrometer).

Here's my box.

Very nice!!!
I have three gauges one in the each drawer the one on the glass
The oasis was set perfect when I started it.. The top runs about 71-72 and the bottom drawer comes in at 69-70..running an avg temp of 74-75.. Temp is alittle high but it's steady. The wife as the house set at 76 during winter and 70 during summer

Thanks.

It sounds like your humidity is as stable as you can expect in a box without internal (forced) airflow. As far at the temp, it dosen't sound like you can do much without petitioning the wife for a household temp change...:)

We're up in the great white north, and I have it downstairs. Pretty much hovers around 67-70 degrees. As long as the humidity is actively controlled you shouldn't have any issues.

So I got a very special gift in the mail today from my awesome Father In-law (The guy who gave me my first Excalibur 1066). I open the box and inside was a Stadivarius Churchill.. OMFG this Cigar smells so dam good. I haven't smoked it yet and won't until I find the Perfect Occasion..
