Class One Tundra by VMGontheRocks

Any updates? great work !!

I put a T-Case cover on it  But forgot to take photos.

I think I'm going to relocate the electronics at some point. I want to get them lower than they are. I also think I need to do some shock tuning/rebuild the shocks as they felt a little springy at the last comp.

New receiver?

A while ago yes, stupid me had to switch to the 4PK and spend lots of money on RXs.

Justin was nice enough to take a bunch of photos of my C1 truck on course at our comp on Saturday:

Really like this one ^

I think I should probably put in the rear tailgate lens, looks like I lost a door handle so I'll need to replace that and then I think the front bumper needs a respray!

I just finished reading through this whole thread, as I am about to start a build on a toyzuki chassis that I won last year on the christmas giveaway, anyhow I just wanted to say, thanks , awesome build and very detailed instructions on this truck build, this will be my guide to build mine"thumbsup""thumbsup"
...not sure just yet on the body though...

Thanks!

I had to reglue a rear fender flare on as it was getting a little loose.

Not much else happening with this truck. I will be looking at the steering on it as it pushes more than I would like.

Looks like someone did get a pic of my truck yesterday at the comp:

Are your fender flares rubber? and if so what glue did you use?

Yes and I used shoe goo. Seems to be the best stuff I've found to hold them on.

Word of caution though, the shoe goo ate my paint. So I took acetone and removed all the paint where the fender flare goes.

I just got my v1 built but I'm not sure I messed something up. It feels like it sits very high. I have 90mm shocks but the bottom of the skid still same a scx10. What is your messurements.

Truck is going through some changes, took off the SCX10 axles and will be putting on SCX10.2 axles. Also moving to a G10 mount. Here's the assembly for that:

What's included in the motor mount kit

Pop the bearings in

Make sure they're flush

Grab that little center section and the three longer screws

Line everything up

Put the three screws through to hold everything in place

I'll go through mounting it to the chassis with the standoffs tonight or tomorrow

Love this truck bro!"thumbsup"

Looking forward to the changes. Awesome job!

Thanks guys!

Got the new mount installed and got the 10.2 axles under it. Need to take some more pics and upload them. Debating on whether to switch the shocks over to Big bores and then waiting on one last part to show up to finish it up for the comp on the 3rd.

Final install steps for the G10 motor mount

Using the remaining 3 long screws, attach the G10 mount to your motor plate (I ended up using Stainless screws, old habit from my living in WA state)

Screws through the mount and into the motor plate.

Motor Plate side, all ready to install into the truck

Last 3 screws in the kit. You'll notice that one is shorter than the other two. The short one get installed on the motor side (typically the drivers side)

I guess I forgot to take a picture of it installed. Guess I'll do that when I get the last part next week.

10.2 Axles installed. Used the same lower links. Had to make longer uppers and used a Locked Up RC pan hard bar (https://lockeduprc.3dcartstores.com/Max-Clearance-Trackbar--SCX10-II-_p_881.html)

Ran it last weekend at the Renegade Rock Runners event at Horsemans and pulled off a 1st place finish! Shocks definitely need some love. Had to work my way through one sidehill.

Last part arrived and has been installed, I'll hopefully pull it apart and do a full write up next weekend (sorry, busy this week). Then that's probably going to be the last of this build as I'll be starting my new C1 build soon.

Nice job on your rig! I really like what you've done with it, and orange is my favorite color. :) Is there a link to your C1 build anywhere?
