Murse FlatLine
Newbie
Lets start off with an action shot...
After years of being in RC's I had still yet to buy a crawler. I could not maintain that status when I seen the SCX 10 II. I have my 1:1 Cherokee that I love to wheel, that being said I could not help but feel the stock Axial SCX 10 II was a bit on the lacking side.
Electronics
Are all enclosed in 2 Traxxas receiver boxes that are on a custom plate where the ESC and receiver boxes are mounted just fore and aft of the rear shock towers.
Radio: Futaba 4PLS
Steering: Futaba aircraft servo S9177SV providing 569in/oz at 7.4v
ESC: Holmes Hobbies BLE Pro waterproof
Motor: Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 3500kv waterproof
BEC: Castle BEC from Holmes Hobbies, Waterproofed and set to 7.4v
Custom wiring harness that disables the BEC from the ESC and allows the external BEC to power all receiver functions at 7.4v (winch and steering)
Wheels
Axial 8 Hole Beadlocks with Axial Rock Beadlock rings
Axial wheel weight system providing 8.5oz per wheel
Tires
2.2 Proline Super Swamper TSL's
New tires vs the all terrains
Shocks
Axial Competition 103mm shocks
I have heavily trimmed the body (much like a 1:1 trail rig Cherokee would be), trimmed the bumpers and the rock slider mounts. Here are some general wheeling pictures...
