Coming soon .....GMADE GOM-GR1 Rock Buggy

I'm not sure how much different you can make a truck... or sway bars for that matter.

Everything is a copy of something in some way.

If your "Copying" something but improving on it... than I don't see any harm in that.

It's not like it's a wltoys clone or even similar to that.

Example: look at VP currie axles and sway bar, now look at Gmade GOM axles and sway bar. Identical. Look at JEC or UCFab sway bars, not identical. The GOM sway bars have the same shape, color and uses brass bushings just like VP currie sway bars. You see my point?

Yes, I can see where your coming from they are almost exact. I don't think gmade's overall design is reprehensible, though. Its very similar to the bomber, but with CMS, 3D interior, front motor mount..ect.

And how many rigs come with a 2 speed and dig right out of the box, for a lower price than most axial kits.

I've never owned a Gmade kit.. always been on my list though, so i'm excited for this one.

I am skeptical about how well it will hold up to speed: from everything they have said about it, they never intended it to be a fast truck, but a crawler first and foremost. They say 3600kv is about right for a fast version of it. 4000kv (what i bought for it) possibly being too much on the stock drive train.

I don't expect a full on basher, but something quick and capable would be nice.

Now i'm rambling.

We sell gom in Korea
In Korea, there are many opinions that the mountain driving of gom is superior to the bomber
The biggest advantage is that the front is heavy design
I am very satisfied

I heard that they released this early in Korea... lucky. It looks like you also had access to all the option parts and upgrades.

Great looking rig.

Ours ships in two days.. but it will probably take awhile to arrive.

Even the sway bars are copied, lol. They literally took the most popular stuff from a few rigs and made the GOM, LOL. I am kinda interested in one though.
By this thinking every vehicle with 4 wheels is a copy of all the 4-wheeled vehicles before it.

I preordered from Hobbytown.. as they were the first to pop up with the preorder.

I saved $10 with a coupon code.. but wish that I ordered direct. I bet it would have been quicker that way.

Anyone else have shipping notifications?

I didn't order a GOM, but Junfac had preorder bonuses.

I saw that after I preordered.

Rcmart had the same deal.

From what I have seen, all the preorders come with the bonuses in the box regardless of who ordered them. So I'm thinking I will end up getting them.

Wishful thinking maybe...

As of right now I can't find these tires available for sale. Mt2202.

I wonder if they are new or all going towards the kits and will be available later.

There is a mount for a spare but it only comes with four tires and rims. It would be nice to buy another set and have a matching spare.

Found them on eBay for a rediculous price.. I guess I will wait and see.

Once the kit gets into more hands I'm sure lots of guys will be selling their tires off.

Or I could buy five tires and change them all together. I'll have to see them first

Here is a link to the Korean website.

This has a bunch of option parts on it already.

If you click the little tag on the bottom, it opens to better photos.

Gmade

I checked this morning and mine had left Hong Kong on a plane last night. Just checked again and it's in Chicago. "thumbsup"

Congrats! Sunday is going to be a drag though, knowing it’s so close yet so far away.

Do you have any Wraith parts handy? I’m eager to know how compatible the axle parts are.

Yeah, luckily I've done so much building lately I could stand a vacation from the allen wrench, and I'm pretty sure it'll get delivered while I'm at Crawlapalooza, but I'll have something to do when I get home, if I can get passed being burned out "thumbsup" I've got plenty of Wraith parts just waiting to see what will or can be modified to work. I'm really hoping lockers, gears and axles can be convinced to work, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm also thinking about having a friend of mine (Underground Chassis Works) build a bouncer cage for it. As hard as I try, I cant get passed how damn uhg-lee this thing is :lmao:
