Coming soon RC4WD desert runner

The french website previously posted lists it as 1:9.18 scale. At 24 inches in overall length, that seems to be spot on for the Raptor's 220 inch overall length.

Looking at RC4WD truck, it seems like the rear wheels are shoved forward and there is more bed behind the rear wheels than the 1:1 version. That would explain the short wheelbase in comparison to the overall length.

This is unacceptable. complete rubbish. Because of this inaccuracy, I'm out.

Just kidding, the grill is obscene and I'm sure the tailgate applique is HERIFIC... I'm just bummed a new bright isn't a drop on option. Oh well, maybe I'll be able to score one of the interiors from someone.

ehhhhh you know im actually going to agree, without sarcasm. if the scale is off, i just don't think i could plunk down this much cash for something like this if they didn't get it right. why make something with such a funky wheelbase if its not accurate to the scale market its being sold to?

im not completely out, but i will need to see some pics from an early adopter before i pull the trigger...

It's a lot more accurate scale-wise than nearly every other body I've seen released for crawlers and trail rigs, barring the lack of Ford badging, which will (as I mentioned before) be very likely dealt with by someone with a 3d-printer.

However, it's also not aimed at most of us on this site - I doubt if stock it's nearly as off-road capable as, say, the RC4WD Dakar truck from the same people.

This is the best page for detailed pics of the vehicle that I have found - definitely has the Tamiya Tuned Machine Modified 35t motor in the pics, and there's a blue one shown here as well:

The blue one does look better.
I do need to get me something for Christmas..

It does look like wheel options may be Zero.
Any size on the wheels/tires yet?

i saw somewhere they are 1.9. not sure for tire OD.
and yes i have concerns for wheel swaps also. crossing our fingers maybe that bolt pattern lines up with scale 6 bolt hubs so we just bolt our scale beadlocks to the truck like a 1:1, skipping the hex hub adapter?
santa might at least go halves on this with me... its this or the axial SBG kit -er scale builders... kit.

ZSzZScZzebra we are all counting on you... no pressure! ;)

Truck is in Memphis, TN right now.

I am doing some assuming but let's say the hub/rotor is just "adapter" from a hex or pin wheel axle. The front is dog-boned from the pictures, so you also have to assume it uses a normal hex or pin setup to drive the hub/wheel. Just my thoughts.

Just go to Facebook and search them. JS Scale. They are on now. I see it on my phone but dunno if the live video works on desktop site.
