Coolest Berg accessory ever made?

I have no idea where you have been! I think this section has been too slow for most to even check? This needs to change.

Hopefully just another week out on these...
 
So will this locker work in an all stock gear box? And could I use a cut down wraith long side shaft with it?

Your going to have to update the bible! I'm only new to the MOA stuff having just recently picked up a stock V1 berg and will need to get a few bits, and this has just added to my confusion!

Yep, all stock gear box will work just fine. I am not sure why you would use a cut down Wraith shaft but yes, I dont see why not.

The Bible will have to be taken care of for sure. I just need to finish up what I am doing first. Lots more info coming.

If you want to post up what youre confused about, it could help me clarify in the bible.

The only thing you need to have the tubes that work with the axle shafts. The tubes for the SCX axles are narrower than standard Berg shafts. I dont have any idea what the length is on the VP axles. Pretty sure CreeperBob will make you any length you want on his shafts.

I had a similar question on Facebook. I will copy and paste my reply here.

The benefits behind this idea are cost, extreme availability and if it works better for you, the narrowness of the axle. IMO, by going to the Locked up shafts, VP shafts or others, you just took away the benefits of cost and availability. My 7075 shafts are still lighter and as strong as you need for what looks to be about $10 more than the option you're suggesting.
 
Very nice Erik.... Great reason to dump these stupid plastic axles... Now go take a shower and get get some dang sleep
 
Well... some really bad news. I spent the day in bed crying yesterday. Not really, but I felt like it.

I picked up the lockers and they were over hardened. They are too brittle and now break too easily.

I think I have a fix for them though, I just need to start the testing process all over again.

I should have a good idea if these will hold up or not by the weekend. If they can last a weekend with me in Wendover, they will hold up to just about anybodies abuse. I would like to test them a bit longer than that but I know there are lots of people needing these so if youre up for the risk after this weekend, they will be for sale. Just crossing my fingers that this fix even works.

Cant be perfect all the time. We know ya get it worked out...hell I don't have a berg (yet:twisted:) & been following to see what this guy comes up with next! Well then bout time for another avatar break:shock:
