Did you actually break one in testing? Even if over hardened I would think there is enough material there to still be strong. If its a nice snug fit with the tang there shouldnt be a huge amount of force on it.

I had a great day today! Its really nice to have one after such a stressful day yesterday.

5hrs straight running, no breaks, ZERO issues.

Its looking like the simple fix is promising. This weekend will tell the whole story. Keep your fingers crossed.

Nothing but great news from the weekend!

Two testers, zero breakage. One running 4s.

I ran my 2.2 all weekend, zero issues. Tons and tons of binding and stalling the front motor out.

I am downloading videos so you can see the type of punishment it took all weekend. Lots of other part issues, as expected from running such a long time and in brutal conditions.

What I did to fix them was that I took a sleeve and pressed it over the snout of the locker. The downside to this is that I was really hoping to have these fit the RC bros tubes with minimal clearancing. I am not sure I can suggest drilling out the RC bros tubes this much though. That would be the end users call. The snout now measures .315" or 5/16. All other tubes that I know of should be good with clearancing this much. Its only the first 1" of the tube, not the whole way.

The RC bros tube is .250" inside diameter.

The locker without the sleeve is .250" outside diameter.

The locker without the sleeve is completely unreliable.

Exactly how much of a sleeve is needed is not known but I am only adding .0325", or a bit less than 1mm to each wall thickness.
