Ok so i always scour CL for a losi trekker, Micro or Sumo Redcat Micro...

anyway... one guy wants $250.. umm NO...
another wants $100 .. umm no.. even though it has 3 receivers.. not sure what all that is about..

but then there was a guy for $70.. but he is 60 mile round trip...
we exchange emails.. over the last 2 days..

well today im working from home and he txt me that he will be at the bowling alley down the street from me.. well why not..

i go there.. and viola..

wanted $70... i mentioned $60 and he said that is the least he will take..

bone stock...

so now i have to figure out if im going to take it apart and use it for my current blue rig im building... or do i get a model and make it another rig????

UGHHH what to do .. what to do...

Good find for the cash. If you have trouble deciding you can always send it my way. I'd love a second rig. Lol

I just have the one. Its mostly stock with hr aluminum beadlocks and tsl boggers. Here it is. I need some new pics of it, its been painted and some more bodywork done. I think of it as a micro clodbuster.

LOL!!! I just did the exact same thing. Found one about 20 minutes from my house on Craigslist for $70. Didn't even bargain with the guy...it was like new!

I hate to admit how many I have now. What number does it take to officially make it an addiction? I think Chevy 55 has us all put to shame tho...have u seen how many he has?

Nice score fellas!

My craiglist sucks out here & if they do have any Madjones seems to scoop em all up

Thats OK though I have been sniping on the bay for the last two weeks...I got these & another box of four on the way  I think I am way beyond addiction :lmao:

I am never done when good deals are to be had "thumbsup"
I got tons of bodies waitng for me to get busy with...Probly a few multi axle builds for these ones though..

Dude what kit is that!!!!! I need one!!!!!! Matches m uh 1:1

Sent from my Sprint Epic 4G using TapaTalk 2

The kit is amt 84 GMC pickup. Good luck on finding them. Older kit that isn't being produced any longer and they go for 60+ bux on the bay. I got lucky and traded a friend for two a while back. The one I posted is actually scraps after building a custom long bed truck. I may actually use the long bed I built for a body on the trekker, the long wheel base body fits the chassis way better. But I don't want to mess up the body being they are so hard to find.

Here is a couple pics of the long bed version I built initially out of the two kits. Still not sure if I wanna finish it up as a plastic kit or take the body and use it as a trekker body.

Yeah, you can find the snow plow truck and the wrecker reasonable. But those are different body styles. Those are 73-80 trucks where as the truck I have posted is the 81-87 truck. The original clodbuster from tamiya is a 81-87 Chevy c/k series pickup.

I am aware of that but they are pretty damn close aside from a few minor details..The revell is a 77 to be exact & a little bigger than the amt kit thus a better fit for the micro & still available for a resonable price "thumbsup"

Minor differences? Completely different body all together. All the body lines are different, the grill is no where near the same, side marker lights on the front are turned different.

Sorry, I drive a 85 c10 long bed as a daily driver. There is a lot of differences between the two.

I will agree the 73-80 kits are wider than the 81-87 years from amt. Mpc makes a 81 stepside called the sodbuster. The cab on it is way more detailed than the amt kit.

Diffrent body?
To me front fenders, hood & a grill are minor diffrences from the exterior point of view they where changed in 81 to be more areodynamic, & if you have any styrene skills it can be an easy fix to replicate...I used to own 83 & my dad had a 75 back in the day..
Not trying to start a war just saying not a completely diffrent body & with a little work it can be made into any year you want from 73-87 ;-)

HAH no worries guys.. yeah all I know is my styrene skillz are not there.. so i would need to find the 82-87 to mockup my 1:1

i will keep my eyes out.. there is a hobbyshop near me that has TONS of models.. I was looking at them so they may have a hidden gem in there. If so I would have to start buying them and selling them on ebay!!!!

also i got MiClaw Qlo tires on order..
pmd danally bout offset rims to order from him...
"thumbsup"
gonna go on "blue"
