I have a Poison Spider Wraith (Stock electronics) and have been considering going with a brushless setup on the truck. I am new to the hobby and wondering what the pros and cons are with a brushless system. Could you all weigh in a bit about what it would take to go brushless and possibly links to products that I should consider? Thanks!

Thank you for linking that to me! I don't know how I missed that thread since it is stickied to the page lol. After reading that thread I will definitely be staying with a brushed system for the crawling aspect. Do you or anyone else have any speed comparisons to speak of? I was planning on going full crawler with a 45T but Harley recommends a 13T crawler motor. Will the 45T make my wraith snail slow?

Get a 21t Titan 550 it's a very impressive motor with gobs of torque and great speed as well I run my gearing at 87/18 and the motor never breaks a sweat.

Its a good motor. I use one in my scx10.
In my wraith I have a MMP and hobbywing 3656sd sensored motor.
Works real well crawling and has some nice top end.
But I do alot of trailing too. I have the 4000kv but a 3400kv brushless would suit well for crawling. As long as its sensored..

Sensored is for brushless motors if you go brushless you want sensored as it is much smoother and controllable at low rpms

Oh ok thanks for that info! I think I will probably stick with a brushed system due to the cost of moving into the brushless set up. Is the stock Axial AE-2 ESC a decent ESC to stick with for the long haul?
