crossing the border

You know what. I am totally in favor of Storm Troopers marching up and down my block checking for legal status. While they are at it, they can also check for out-standing warrants, back taxes, and any other out-standing federal crime. I figure, why discriminate against illegal immigrants only, if we want to resort to Gestapo style tactics, we may as well take advantage of an opportunity to really just clean out the scum.

Like cleaning a toilet. Sure, you can give it a good wipe-down and call it good. Or, you can roll up your sleeves, get your hand's dirty, and get the job done right the first time.

I say why not. What do I have to fear as a law abiding citizen of the US? What that due to a government glitch I may be inconvenienced for like a month? Big deal. I think that most people need to get off their high horses and face facts. The US is bordering on a state of crisis, both economic and political, and we, as citizens should do what we must to help steer America back on track. If that means showing a form of ID which I am already forced to carry when the proverbial "Storm Troopers" show up at my door, so be it.

Instead of standing around and bickering about who's with what party and who is more wrong than the last guy, we, as a Nation need to bind together and stand for the principals that once made us the incorruptible nation of heroes that we once were. (Please don't misinterpret that, we have always dealt with corruption, but it runs rampant though the government, the cooperations that fund the government, the special interest groups that buy votes from the government, and everyone else that gets to sway a vote because they have some sort of agenda to push.)

We, the people of America, used to believe in the dream that was America. White picket fences, two cars in the driveway, 2.2 children, and an opportunity for anyone to traverse social class with nothing more than simply the sweat off their brow. Now look at us. Look honestly at what America has become. The picket fences have turned into picket lines, the two cars in the driveway are both on loan from the bank. And all we have to do to traverse social class is become like those that have done it before us. Lie, cheat, steal, sell out out friends, commit insider trading, and maybe shoot someone in the face, once we have the power that is.

The only thing that we have left as a dream is 2.2 children? That's kind of sad. Our role models used to be our parents and teachers, those that showed us the way of the world, and how to be morally upstanding. Now we as a nation look up to people like Paris Hilton, Kobe Bryant, and Lil' Wayne as role models. I don't know about you, but it I ever catch my children trying to be like any of those people, I will acquiesce defeat as parent, for I have failed.

My fellow countrymen, I say it is time for us to wake up from this nightmarish entitlement society that we are living in. We need to realized that no one is entitled to anything. You need to work for what you want. If you want to be a legal US citizen, then you need to work for it. If you need to actually collect on the benefits offered to legal US citizens, such as Welfare and Social Security, you had better be able to prove that you need it, and that you are in fact authorized to receive it as a legal US citizen. Notice I did not say entitled to it?

If you want to ride of the backs of the good hearted, hard working American citizens and just collect a paycheck for doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and reproducing, go home! You're like a stray dog looking for a handout. You have the same rights as my dog, eat, shit, sleep and screw. You want to be treated like a human being, than you had better start acting like your mother had raised you. Do the right thing, and quit begging at the table for scraps. Times are tough all over.

Not just a hypocrite, but that piece of shit actually blames Americans for the violence that is caused by his citizens that are fleeing his country:
http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/05/20/mexico.president.congress/index.html?hpt=Sbin

He needs to be taken down to the border and shown the door... Maybe drop him off near Juarez to remind him of where that violence is coming from...

Didn't you get a copy of the memo Barry sent out?

All of the worlds problems are our fault. He's been out apologising for us for over a year now.

Hoo-rah. Can't say I disagree with a thing you said. "thumbsup"

However, once you get the government rolling on cracking down that hard on illegal activity, its a hard thing to stop, and its reach/intrusion will grow to justify its apparent need.

Mexico hasn't had a non-corrupt president since...well...I'm not sure when. I don't think a trip to Juarez would be all that shocking to him, or much of an inconvinience. Probably just end up throwing the blame our way anyway...

Thanks for the compliment Duuuuuuuude (and yes, I counted "u"s to make sure its right). To be honest, I see America heading the way of 1984 anyways. Do I want to see signs everywhere reminding me that "Big Brother" is watching? Not really, but we need to face the fact, that right now, BB is watching us, all the time. Take a look at the recent NYC bombing attempt. They had that man on like 4 different cameras, all at different angles, if that's not a sign that they are watching us, I don't know what is.

Oh, and to people that don't know about 1984, it's a book. I know, outdated technology by today's standards, but you can get it for free, legally, off the internet, if you're too cheap to spend $9. It's about socialism, mankind, and the struggle to find ground between the two. It is a must read for everyone. I don't like to tell people to do things, unless I'm their boss, then it's my job, but READ THIS BOOK. You will be amazed, and will be able to draw parallels between the world of Oceania and the US.

This may be well where our course is taking us, let's just not hope so.
