Note that some months we have no USRCCA competition so that drivers can attend our Scale events and the "KING OF TEXAS" event.

Scoring:
For the 2010 season we have decided to run a new scoring system. Instead of carrying your individual comp points with you all season, we have come up with a "season points" scenario. Points will be "good" and for each comp they will be awarded as follows:
1st: 100pts
2nd: 85pts
3rd: 80pts
4th: 75pts
5th: 70pts
6th: 60pts
7th: 50pts
8th: 40pts
9th: 30pts
10th: 20pts
11th: 10pts
12th+: Only awarded points for beating other drivers
+1 per driver beaten overall.
+1 for course low scores
For example. If I show up to a comp with 5 other guys, and I win. I'll get 100 points for winning and 5 points for beating 5 guys + any points I have for getting a low score on an individual course.
At the end of the season, when adding it all up you only add up your best 5 scores. So it's similar in that way to last year that you get 2 "drops".
The way we score courses will remain as USRCCA dictates.
Rain outs:
For purposes of a legit event 2 courses must be completed for full scoring credit.
If called beforehand = Pass (the comp will count as a comp but everyone will get a 0)
If called after starting = 20 points for those attending
If called after 1 complete* course = 20 points + placing and low score bonus
At 2 complete* courses its a official event with full scoring based off all previously complete courses.
- A course is considered complete when all the drivers have completed it. So if everyone finished 1 course and only half finish another, it counts as one complete course.
We are hoping to no have to do any rescheduling this year as it ends up messing people up. However, if at the end of the year we don't have 4 solid comps, we will have to revisit the policy.
I was asked so I'll put this out there.
From what I recall ...
You ARE allowed to attend comps of other clubs, but you are only allowed to pursue a shot at state with ONE TXRCRCA club per season. You must announce which club you will be going for a shot at state with BEFORE you compete with the second TXRCRCA club.
Example:
Lets say I compete with CTXRCC (my "home" club) and I bomb the first comp. Then I decide I have a better shot at making state if I attend all the ETX comps.
Before I compete with ETX I need to let the ETX leaders know I intend on going for a shot at state through them. If I wait until after I comp with ETX it's too late for me to go for state with ETX. Once I announce I am going for state through ETX I cannot keep after it with CTXRCC.
