Differential difficulties

Does anybody make a spool to replace the differentials? I Dont want to have to buy two new diffs and a locker. I hate losi's design and Their screws they use are garbage. I know about RCBros lockers and Losi's steel lockers, Thats not what I want. I want a one piece solid spool.

I stripped three of the eight screws on my front diff trying to install a steel locker. Tore the rear diff out to find three of the screw heads snapped off. Drilled the screws out of the one diff but couldn't drill the holes out big enough to tap them with my 2mm tap. The ring gear is hardened and my bits couldn't touch it. Most of the screws look like they were glued in, cause they have something clogging up the threads. That's probably why I stripped out the 3 screws. (Why the hell does LOSI glue their screws in? the beadlock rings were the same way and it stripped the freakin holes out when I went to do the PVC mod so instead I had to use glue on my flat irons.) And the screw heads that fell off the rear diff looked like they were cheap junk poorly made in some third world factory. The heads had a hole in the center where the screw driver slots are, so there must not have been much steel left on them. It's like the CVD's stub shaft snapping cause they were machined wrong. I love my MRC but am starting to get ticked off with some of the problems I've had with it. It just seems like their quality controll is lacking or their trying to save a buck by using cheap hardware.

I dont know of any spools I know they make them for the mlst2 but the axle's wont fit into the spool. I just bought new ring and pinion's when I put my lockers in I knew from my mlst2 days that the diffs suck as far as maintenance is concerned. I've been running the new seet for months now with no issues and I got to thread lock my own little screws so i can piss myself off later down the road"thumbsup"

oh, like inside the casing? when i replaced mine i got my skinniest drill bit and put like 200 lbs of pressure on the screw to take it off xD i had the same issue to man, it pays off tho"thumbsup"

stuck diff screws

any stuck screw can usually be freed up by placeing parts in near boiling water ,it loosens and softens the thread locker and expands the plastic parts so the screw comes out without pulling out the threads. hope this helps ."thumbsup"

its to late now but next time heat the screw up w/ your soldering iron 1 at a time I replaced my lockers stripping only 1 screw

ide say maybe your problem is not the right tools. ive had no troubles replacing front rear and center lockers on 3 MRC's now.
