DIY 6ch Radio Kits

I have a Airtronics MX Sprt3. Shouldnt be too hard to take the guts outta that and swap your parts into this?? Should it??

Umm, well it looks like it might be big enough. I'll try and get some measurements so i can tell you how much space is needed for the board. It will be really hard for you to pack all the extra switches into it. But i can order micro switches which would help alot on space.

How about a supermod for my dx5e? I'd love to be able to program it from my android powered evo 4g. Why are you so insistant on it being a pistol? I'd love to have a super stick radio. Think of the possibilities. What are you running for recievers?

Flysky recievers, like 15 bucks each.

Exactly what are you wanting modded? and i'm not a programmer so i can't be much help on the android. And i will be selling modified stick radios in the future. One will be a basic one, requires a pc to program, (around $50 pretty close) then the other will be a super advance one, for around $150 (on the low).

I like pistols because they can't do what a stick radio can, so i take a stick radio and put it into a pistol grip.

Hey man, this is exactly what I am looking for. I'm a mechanical engineer that is drooling over your build.

Here's what I am looking to build since I can't find one to buy:

Ch.1 & 2 Steering/Throttle
Ch.3 Rear steering mixed to front steering with reversing (for crabbing)
Ch.4 3 Position dig control with adjustable endpoints.

Anything like that on your docket?

Hey Guys just wanted to let you know I picked up a kit from Losikid which he had modded for me. Awesome!

The TX platform used for this mod is a Fly Sky 6CH 2.4ghz radio (same as HobbyKing's 6CH 2.4ghz). A three position switch was installed on upper left (handy for winches or other aux), left stick throttle mod, as well as preprogrammed for MOA.

The kit included a receiver, bind plug, and USB connector for programming. Losikid recommended I purchase the TX Digital Radio programmer ($2) instead of using the regular TC6 TX programmer. Digital Radio was by far a superior programming tool and I too recommend it. End points, subtrims, mixes, dual rates, etc. are all done on the software and is relatively easy. I had done some fidelling around and screwed up the settings. Losikid was on the ball on helping with programming. Great customer support!

All the sticks, switches, and knobs work great and for the price of around $60 shipped (I live in Canada). Yeah it's no Futaba or Airtronics radio but this is a steal of a deal! Extra recievers are only $15 from Losikid!

I have it set up for MOA but must admit I haven't installed it yet. Still waiting for my Brood motors. Will update later on the performance and operation of the radio system. I have read good things about this radio on Hobbyking.
Here is a clip on how the radio works with 2 esc's on youtube.

I've added some carbon fiber stickers to dress it up the TX a little. I also did a mod to the receiver so that the antenna comes out the top rather than the side so it could fit in my T1E chassis.

Thanks again Losikid! "thumbsup"

Glad you like it. However I think this review may be better suited in my custom radio thread, since this wasn't a kit"thumbsup"
