I really don't wanna drill my new dna wheels but will it vent good enough if I just take one screw out the inside of the beadlock

i have been running the assassins for about 6 months and never really had an issue with venting them untill i moved to AZ when the heat blew my panthers up untill they looked like a balloon. i took a body ream and vented the tire its self inside of one of the thicker treads. its worked great for me so far.

Just taking a screw out of the beadlock will not vent the wheel.

I would suggest either putting vent holes in the tire itself, or drilling a hole in the wheel. I personally drill a hole in the wheel. I drill the hole into a bolt hole of the inner beadlock so that I can plug the hole when needed.

on my DNA wheels, I cut some small holes in the tire. I have not had any trouble since"thumbsup"

also I have noticed that if you end up wrapping the inside of the wheels with weights that it affects the vent hole unless you drill thru the lead wrap

Just a small hole 1/16" to 1/8" 3 to 4 places around the center of the tire works great for me"thumbsup" A leather punch works great if you have the tire off. I've used everything from a dremel to wire cutters to place holes after tire is on:)

You just leave a small gap in between the weights where the hole is and your golden!!

Where you put vent holes is really all personal preference. Both methods, tire or wheel, work great.

I drilled and tapped some 3mm holes in my DNA Thrashers for more tuning ability. I got the idea from My Vanquish wheels it works great.

So all you guys who are venting the tires, how's that working out when driving through water/rainy conditions? Don't your foams absorb the water since they basicly come into direct contact through the hole in the tire? I drill holes in my wheels so it takes at least 3" deep water to even get to my vent holes.

I suppose you guys will say you don't comp in the rain:)

I was thinking the same thing.

Not a lot gets in, and it'll either spin out, squish out, drip out, or evaporate mostly.

But who comps in the rain? Seems really dumb.

I guess that's true, depending on how big a hole you put in the tire"thumbsup"

I prefer not to crawl in the rain, but we don't cancel comps for it:-P:ror:

So those that do drill and get water in there, dam imposable to get it out!!!

Holes in the tires, I used to do this when I raced 1/8 scale buggy, alot of races were in the rain, puddles, etc.... The water spins right out the holes, and is very easy to squeeze it out. So therefor I think it might work, oh wait, it does.

Do I ever comp in the rain, I will if it does, not scared.

That makes sense"thumbsup"

I just drill one 1/8" hole in the wheel. Vents the tire plenty. A guy can drill into the threaded holes for the locking rings and use the bolts to adjust with. Works good for me. Use one bolt on the inside to vent with. If you need more vent, remove the outside bolt in the same hole."thumbsup"
