I am looking to buy a new charger and have looked at the DuraTrax Onyx 230 and like it but would like to hear from anyone who has had one or is currently using one. Word of mouth is the best review I think. thanks

have on and charge 6 different types of batteries with it..what only draw back is you can't charge more than one...they need to make a 250 that will. Course you know it will charge the 4 types of batteries used and will charge from very little (think .5A) up to 7 and will keep 10 memories.

whats your reason for picking this one...

a friend of mine uses that charger, and my dad has the 220. both chargers are very similar in setup and function, the 230 does lipo. i find they are simple to use and setup and they get the job done. built in ac power supply is a nice feature, saves you from needing an external power supply like some higher end chargers. the only slight disadvantage is it doesnt have built in balance charge capability, however an external balancer will take care of that.

i use one with a common sense ultra balancer, works great. although by the time you buy the charger and balancer your getting close to the price of a 6s charger with built in balancer.

It's a solid unit, the only con is it doesn't have a built in balancer.
I use an equinox balancer.

I use one also, works great and it's pretty easy to use. I like that it has a built in power supply but can also run off my car battery.

I use a common sense external balancer with mine also. I like the battery profiles, I just choose battery 1-10 and press start"thumbsup"

I also numbered my deans ends with a sharpy(1-10) ,that will match the number thats asigned in the batt charger.Makes it super easy it select the profile.
