you bitching about paying a few dollars to have use of OHV areas... I have to pay $25 a day per quad to use a 300 acre private ride park that there are 2 of in the entire state. If I had use of a few thousand acres of public land, I could stand a yearly fee.
Texas has had an OHV sticker program for a number of years. Previously, it was $8/year for the sticker, but for 2012 they went up to $16. Still not an exhausting amount to help keep our OHV areas open, but the sticker only ensures that you don't get a citation from Texas Parks & Wildlife (game warden). You still have to pay entry fees to the parks. This of course is only for publicly owned areas, though. Privately owned riding areas don't require the OHV sticker.
