this build has been in the works for quite some time... it all started with the Ultimate FJ build years ago, which I ended up (regretfully) having to sell. ever since then, i've wanted to build another FJ Cruiser using the Nikko body.

i had found another body and recently snatched up a Gelande 2 chassis, so the build could finally begin. more to come, but here's where it sits right now:

a few quick specs:
  • Nikko FJ Cruiser body
  • RC4WD Gelande II chassis
  • RC4WD Yota II axles w/XVDs, flipped to DS drop
  • 1.7 RC4WD MTRs on 1.7 Racelines

Very good to see another of your builds. Seems like you've been gone for a long time, welcome back."thumbsup"

at least now you have a good range of decent axles to work with. and several chassis options. you could even fit in a dynatrac touch to a set of vaterra ascender axles.

looking forward to some updates.

thanks, guys "thumbsup"

no big updates to report, unfortunately. i did reconfigure the front axle to put the diff on the driver side, so i'll try and snap some pictures of that. i'm still looking for a SCX/Yota II truss to flip the panhard, but i have a feeling i'll end up making my own

as cool as it would be to replicate the UA FJ again, that isn't the plan for this build. overall goal is to resemble a solid axle FJ Cruiser on 38-40" tires, which i'm seeing more and more on the trails these days
