Whilst researching for this build I discovered some information on the company tasked with providing the metal work for the Top Gear vehicles. It was a company called Metaltech based in the city of Newberg, just outside of Portland Oregon.

I found the company on-line and their logo as I’d spotted a couple of stickers on the bumper and protection frame but couldn’t quite make them out. Now I have them :-)

Newberg is just a few miles from me! My wife commutes to the winery through Newberg daily. I didn't even know about this connection with Top Gear. Nice!

Exceptional attention to detail and the video work is top notch. How do you film your driving scenes?

I had no idea either about the MetalTech thing until I started poking around doing some research.

Thank you so much, the tripod scenes are shot with a Panasonic GF1, for the moving scenes I used a GoPro mounted on a gimbal.
