If you have a spare bike and about $50 I highly recommend building one and telling your friends to do the same.

Short vid of a few of us having fun. Had to take it from the camera mans facebook so the quality is poor but make sure its on 720hd and it isn't too bad. I'm in the red for those who don't know me.

And a picture of mine to see what it is and how simple they are to make.

Yeah that video is what gave me idea years ago. Life got in the way so I'm just now getting around to it.

Nowadays drift triking is huge in New Zealand and Australia I think. They have an over the counter one called a Huffy Slider. PVC over the tires is much cheaper and will last waay longer than those hollow plastic wheels.

Only problem is finding hills with little to no traffic.

That's too funny the guy at work that I share a bench with has built 8 so far and has a pile of scrap bike frames. Him and his son do it and I never seen these before till he started making them a couple weeks ago and now they are popping up around town in the backs of trucks.

Ha, Todd. What's up pal.

Getting back on my feet slowly. Finding new ways to pass the time and try and have fun in the process. Maybe someday I'll be back into comping and I'll be up that way to hang out with everyone again.

I didn't realize how popular they were now until after we built ours and started putting videos on youtube.

I think Harley had a thread on the Missouri section of when they had some about a yr or so ago. "thumbsup"

I did a search for drift trikes before I started this thread. Nothing came up so I started a new one. Plan on trying out some steep narrow back country roads this sat. Hopefully we have the cameras going when the bad stuff happens.

Where are they riding them at?

We went for more handling on ours, it's a blast racing them. We are bordering 50mph on the current hill.

We did take ours out without the PVC first. Got boring fast. The hills we drift on the follow truck is usually around 35mph. If I can find a good hill I want to take the PVC off and go for top speed. Just much gunner sliding causing each other to wipe out.

Got a question for you Tank. What wheels and what is the OD on them? We are all using harbor freight dolly wheels and after going out today we noticed the bearings in our wheels are really taking some abuse. I'm thinking I need to upgrade to some kart wheels but I don't have a good source on where to look yet.

we are using 10" PVC
