Drive Safely (Warning Graphic Images)

Very sad. We take so much for granted including life. I wonder how mcuh different people would drive if they thought to themselves "this might be the last time I ever see my family again", every time they start there cars.

I thought the biggest complaint with this OP would be that its been posted before and is "old" news.

The only problem I have is with people who feel that vids like this need to be shown, but then cant wrap their brain around someone wanting to go see a Saw flick.

Given, there is more of a "cause", or intended purpose with the OPs vid, theres still something twisted & morbid about watching it imo.

Your eyes are either open all the way or shut all the way.

If you can't see the difference between this and saw then I don't know what to tell you. Repost or not I couldn't find it in a search so it looked new to me. Saw is gore for the purpose of gore and entertainment. This video was obviously made to send out a message. BTW, I have seen all the saw movies and like them so I am not anti saw or the like.

Point being, nothing is that important people need to behave like they do.

JIA hit the root cause on the head. People are so self important and in such a hurry all the time they forget this. I myself am guilty of this too. I do, however, try to be courteous and respectful of others. It would break my heart if I was in such a hurry and took someone's loved one away from them simply because 3 seconds of my time mattered more to me than their life.

Last, I really don't see how awareness of this is "old news" anyway. Really, if it bothers people that much, why bother reading, why bother responding. You seem to criticize so many threads RANOVRU yet you seem to be interested in commenting on them anyway.

It's the chitchat section after all, who cares what people post. At least it's not the chain driven crawler or me asking for free crap because my trailer house burnt down.

I wasnt complaining about the vid being old news, its what I thought everyone else would be wining bout. Get it?

You are a Saw fan so none of that was directed at you. I know plenty of people who DONT like Saw, & furthermore wouldnt want the OPs vid to be shown on national tv.

I think it should. What your talking about (since Im being so PC), is "flirting" with the line between what people "should" & "shouldnt" see.

I dont agree with that way of thinking. Like I said before, youre eyes are either wide the F open or wide the F shut. It s different for everyone I suppose. Do you want to be preppared or sheltered? Most importantly, can you handle it?

Driving is a priveliage, not a right. Keep the speed on the track. Cnt tell you how many people text and drive. It takes half a second to chance your life in the worst way. Can you imagine hitting a mother and her child because you were texting?!

Its not a E-TUFF threat when im standing over you holding a base ball bat kicking the shit outta you. ITS REALITY! and not that fake shit homo crap you see on tv either. THAT is the problem now days, nobody LIKES to hear the TRUTH! You probly dont have the comprehension to understand this. thats why YOU "THINK" is just a threat.... its reality bub not the internet...

And yeah i think it is a problem if somebody whants to chuckle something SERIOUSLY TRAGIC off. thats like if a 4 year old got shot and killed due to an asshole that though it would be funny to shot a gun into a crowd! and you think its funny?!?! What if that was your little sister or brother. or you son or daughter? huh, you think its funny? No its not, you yourself should be shot hung and beat with stones in a public area! how about if you kid or or close family member got ran over buy a car and was killed, and IM standing on the sidelines LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!! Drinking a beer enjoying the ****ing show? you think its funny now?

Baseball bat doesn't do much good against Glock there tough guy.

I've got my cdl class A, so I've spent a LOT of time on the road and I have a couple of opinions about the first video.

First is the fact that europeans have the right idea when it comes to psa type things. No beating around the bush here! People here in america don't want to see this kind of thing because it inteferes with their perfect little realities. If they tried to show that vid in drivers ed here parents would flip! (And before anyone gets upset I was a marine for 5 yrs so I feel if I want to America bash I've earned the right!)
Next, I believe that driving tests need to be MUCH harder in this country. All over europe and asia it takes years and costs much more. Driving is seen as a PRIVLAGE and NOT a right. I know this would not prevent all accidents, but at least the ones caused by lack of knowledge. Stupidity and non consideration can't be fixed so lets at least make people AWARE of when the're doing it!

While the real footage is truly sad and heart wrenching, the stuff made for PSA's (which were obvious) have a hard time connecting with me on an emotional level. Thats probably a personal thing though...

But i'll be damned if I didn't laugh at the PSA/Commercial one with the little black car that careened off the road in front of the lorry and into the field only to smash into what seemed to be the only tree in the entire plot. :lmao:

Another thing that gets me is there are too many different clips mixed in there.
PSA's: Obviously meant to make you feel sorry for the victims and scared to go over 5 mph. Ok, they kind of work on me sometimes. Other times they are too cheesy.
CCTV: Usually innocent people getting smashed by someone else. Definitely senseless and sad 99.9% the time.
Police Chase video: Especially the ones that only involve one vehicle. For example, the black camaro? and the orange car (pretty sure that was a police chase...) that flew like a rally car into those trees. make me think the opposite of what the video wants me to think. Usually something along the lines of "that fawker got what he deserved."
But of course there are ones like the one where the SUV deliberately drove head on into that other car are disturbing.:evil:

And Mr E Thug needs to calm down... Jeebus.

the mom at 2:00 clearly threw the baby at the windshield:lmao:
my mom tried to kill me in a car once and i've never let her live it down

this whole people don't change stuff is a false statement. when i was seventeen i got pulled over for street racing and the judge made me take a class they have here in texas called Danger Without Intentions. I went to that class and it was all about driving drunk or accidents caused by racing and other sources of negligance (spelling?) But they showed all real footage and pictures ,which was hard enough as is. There was a picture where a car with a 4-5 year old boy was hit by a drunk driver. The back window was open and the young boys head was jerked out the window and crashed between the two cars on impact. that picture was really hard to look at and but seeing the girl sittin next to me screaming and running out of the room crying and finding out that was here nephew was even harder. i go to the strip every wednesday night and race there now. i learned that being in a rush isn't worth it, having fun on the road isn't worth it, and having dumb distractions really isn't worth it. people think that with me being only eighteen at the time im not resposible but that class made me a responsible and careful driver. now let me state i'm not the goody 2 shoes driver and yes i have 2-3 speeding tickets but nothing excessive after the racing ticket. i'm not trying to preach that these videos will change everyone and they need to be shown but they sure can change someones perspective and make people more causious(spelling?) and if showing videos like this to kids getting their license saves just one life it would be worth it in my book. i don't think it would hurt anyone to watch videos like this and it can only do good.
