Driveshafts

Well I havent even had the cralwer running a week and I broke a driveshaft. I had the thing upside down and it got in a bind trying to flip back over and there the silver rod goes into the plastic end of the shaft it rip out and broke it. So now I am just 2 wheel drive. What are my options for upgrades? I was just looking at TCS and it looks like they only have one upgrade driveshaft for the axial and it is $42 and out of stock.

I have the new MIP drive shafts being shipped to me right now and they look like a good drive shaft for only $40. But I've heard that some people in the ax-10 section that already have theirs are having problems with them binding.:-(
Guess i will just wait and see.

EDIT: never mind about the drive shafts! I'm stupid. didn't read well. The others were having problems with the axle shafts.

I just ordered a set last night too. We will see how they do when they get here. I did learn that JB weld doesnt stick to plastic very well. I was tryin to rig up the old shaft to where it would get me through the weekend and I am on my 3rd attempt so far.

I have no wheel drive right now - both my shafts broke! :sad:
I've tried JB weld, zip ties(to tighten the ears around the yoke), super glue, and as a last resort, even melting the ears together.:shock::lol:
But..... all failed so I am stuck waiting for my MIP's to arive.

just got my mip's they are the last bulletproof part of the bulletproof drive line.

The super glue that I used actually held up way better than the JB weld.

You can try wraping some safety wire around the shaft to help them last longer.

As for shafts you can mod up some Pede shaft for under $2 an axle. Taxxas sells a pro pack with 6 sets for $10.

Put Stampede shafts on it. The stock Axial shafts are junk. The yoke spreads way too easy and pops off of the joint.

Thats how I ran mine until my MIPs came in yesterday. They hold up much better than stock Axial.

go with the punisher drive line all steel wont break just break other parts i think you can get them from rc4wd i got mine from local hobbie shop about 50 a peice but no more broken drive shafts

All metal and very beefy! 8)
They should defiantly hold up."thumbsup"
There are alot of other choices out there like punisher, maxx, and revo, but the MIP shafts are a very high quality durable drive shaft and at $40 for a set, these are the way to go!
easy to instal and put together too.
