Dummy bought a non water proof led strip

OK another dummy thread, i was buying cheap random stuff from Hobbyking to gte free shipping

i got this

allthe preivous led strips i have in my house and deck are water proof with the rubber coating on them.

Overlooked that when i go this.

Can i spray it all with conformal coating,or is this going into the parts bin?

I was going to use it for rock lights.

I don't know, RC electronics like to go into catastrophic failure with their friends. I would not use them if they feed off other electronics.

I was going to use them off of my separate little 3s lipo, lights work @ 12volt

I'd use shoe goo or clear silicone, conformal has a distinct color to it.

I thought about mentioning that, But you have to be some kind of master of the trade to use silicone and not make a complete mess of things. For me that stuff seems to go everywhere except where I want it lol.

It's a greenish colour so it would tint them green a little I think.

I picked cheapest longest delivery time shipping to make it cheap

I buy all my led strip lighting from them.

Ebay cant even compare with them when they have their sales going on, which is almost all the time.
