Dying delrin

I just need to find some 3/8 white delring sticks to try some ideas I have.

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/mepages/delrinrod.php . I got mine from here great customer service and a pretty good price. I got 8 feet for a little over 5 bucks.

I dyed the delrin from the T1E at the same time as some I bought from mcmaster for links. The T1E goes pretty deep, but on the links the dye is shallow. There must be some difference in the materials.

As far as the difference in materials there will be some. The characteristics of Rod delrin is different from sheet delrin. One difference is that some comes as glass filled and some comes as PTFE. when you order from Mcmaster it asks which one you would like. Also the finish of the delrin would effect it. IE rough finish vs smooth finish. Just my .02. Im working on fabing up some links and dying them so I will let you all know how it goes when Im done."thumbsup"

Well this is an old thread but i have a question if anyone is listening.

Can you dye black delrin a different color? (ie dye stock black delrin to yellow)
