Did a search on ESC's and found some good info, but still came up a lttle short.
Building a E-Mxx based crawler, gonna be a single Integy 55t motor, through a GD600 to the tranny. 3800mah 7.2v stick pack, 645mg's front and back, 3 channel Traxas receiver.....

So here's the newb question....I'm looking at this ESC, but I don't understand the electrica jargon enough to know whether ths will be, barely suitable, a good choice, a good choice witha margine of safety built in.......I am otally lost as to what I should be looking for....

Typical Voltage Drop @20A: 0.160V
Rated Current: 120A
Motor Turn Limit: 14 turns and above

Any help or guidance on what I should be looking for, spec wise, would be a BIG help.

OK, so what I'm getting out of this is the "BEC" spec is important, what should I be looking for under that spec? What does BEC stand for?

I really only wanted to run the single stick pack, but this is all new to me.

So with the Tekin Rebel, I can run 4 wheel steering, and use only 1 battery, correct?

There is no way the BEC circuit on that ESC will handle the two 645 servos... So if you want to run it, you'll almost certainly need a reciever pack to power the servos.

Best bet is probably this guy here... although unfortunately it looks like it is currently out of stock.

BEC stands for battery elimination circuit.

Basically, instead of using a seperate battery pack to power the reciever and servos, the BEC allows the ESC to supply power to them.

You're going to want something with Specs of 5.0-6.0 Volts. and at least 3 amps on the BEC. More is always better tho.

And yes, the TR2 would be more than up to the task.

COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THat's the answer I was looking for. That put eerything into perspective, I appreciate the help.

Yup, Rebel 2 is a good choice.

You get that XX4 set up yet?

XX4....nope, still waiting on Dave to dig that box of Losi parts outta the back....it's kinda a "back burner" project anyway, no rush. Both Revos are up and running now, so I'm gathrring stuff for the crawler. That freind of mine in Cali called last night, the one I'm geting the 2 Itegy 55t's from....and asked if I'd give him 50 bucks fo a Rebel 2 ??????

So I'm sending hm a M.O. today for $90.00......2ea, 55t Integy lathe motors, a Rebel2, and a GD600, all N.I.B.

Is that a sweet deal, or what ?????????????????????????????????????????;)
