ok so im selling my nn crawler, before i listed it on here i put it on ebay, before i had the chance to list it in the for sale section i noticed it come up in a thread, skeeno was looking at it on ebay, so i said i would sell it to him for a couple bucks less than buy it now price, to keep it in the rccrawler family, the high bidder told me i cant do this and he is checking with ebay. i checked the rules before and it said nothing about not being able to cancel bids if item hit reserve. as well is i stated it in the auction. so i cancelled his bids then ended auction. after he gives me crap about it he said, quote(Thanks for letting me off the hook on the truck,
Would not do business with you anyway.)end quote. i think if i wanted to buy it i would have asked to be able to match price because i am a bidder on it. or the chance to re use buy it now. not the im going to check with ebay on this attitude, people piss me off, am i wrong?

you cant see his bids because i canceled them

i just needed to vent

thanks skeeno you got a sweet truck.

People like that piss me off. Thats the whole reason for the reserve price.

BTW, so you don't have to say "quote" and "end quote" you can use the little things called quotation marks > "what ever the other person said put here"

It is perfectly ok by Ebay's rules to end the auction especially if you say that you have it for sale locally. Did his max bid even meet your reserve? -Will

it did meet reserve, but i told him it was under agreement elsewhere and would most likely end.

Although you are the type of seller that most ebay buyers do not like, you are well within your rights to end the auction before it ends, especially if you clearly state that in the auction description.

i generally do not end my auctions early, i just needed to sell this quick, i have about 200 transactions on ebay and 100% feedback. i always state in the auction if it is listed elsewhere, and if someone asks i will tell them what im selling it for. its just agrivating that someone would rather report me or check with them, instead of asking me to make it fair or put in a counter offer. its not a good idea to piss someone off that your buying from. i got in a argument with a ebay auction i won it was for a pajero. when i finally got it, 3 weeks later, 2 wheels were snapped off and parts inside were broken, said it was damaged in shipping. never got my money back.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure not to ever bid on anything your selling.

you can cancel any bids and end the auction any time. you payed the listing fee and youre not getting it back, so ebay gets their piece from the action. however it is very immature and gives a bad image of you, the seller. post it in the for sale first, if noone wants it, list it on ebay.

If you made a deal with someone outside of ebay. Why didn't you end the listing? If not you should have told the member on here to get bidding, but you'd cut him some slack in the end.

Just because an auction sells for $500 doesn't mean he has to give you $500. Yeah your fee's are a little more but so what? Your doing a deal for freind right?

ill wouldnt sell you my old sh*t tickets.:flipoff:

i dont see how its immature if its clearly stated in the auction,

badger you violate most rules of doing the right thing anyway .who are you to chime in. isnt it you that plays favorites in the for sale section here.:flipoff:

I don't think ending the auction was a good idea, especially if you had bids on it. If you didn't have bids, I would understand. I hope you don't see a post on a local BB saying to stay away from this Ebay seller, I've seen those before...

I thought there were rules on ending an auction after bids were placed, but I guess not according to others. But I did see you stated that it was for sale locally in the auction, so you covered yourself, and the bidder should have known that since he placed a bid.

But I agree with Badger, I think it was a dick move IMO.

Well he just said he wasn't saving them, he was selling them. :flipoff:

So he wipes and then sells then directly on Ebay? Where does he keep them in the meantime? Ziploc in the fridge? Tupperware?

Seems kind of weird.

I can violate rules here because I make the rules.

Tell me again how I play favorites in the for sale forum?

sorry got you confused with someone else, my bad, the point is i was in contact with this guy and told him auction was going to be canceled, he bid anyway. i clearly stated that it was for sale elsewhere, as i see in a hundred other ebay auctions. he had the option to buy it know and i would have had to sell it to him. i told him this. all he did was keep bidding till it hit reserve, in no way did i try and fool him, or beat him up for more money. i gave him options he took none. all he had to do is hit buy it now and it was his and i would have had to say no to skeeno.

and as far as sh*t tickets, used tp, i keep them in tupperware under my bed. i use them to pack items for shipping. cheaper than packing peanuts.
