Electronics relocation ideas

Hey guys, Newbie here... just building my first crawler.

Started with a Bronco TRX4... hated the body so I put a power wagon body on it. I wanted larger tires so I picked up a set of used 2.2 wheels and tires off a buddy.

I’m running a Traxxas BEC, ECO power 7.4 high voltage steering servo, and an MIP 4mm wider axle kit.

The goal is to do a Hobbywing brushless/sensored motor and different ESC (haven’t fully decided the exacts yet)

Right now I’m trying to figure out the best way to relocate my electronics so that my weight stays forward/low CG Biased...

Does anyone have any examples of what has worked for them?

This is the relocation plate im using my trx4 started life as a tactical unit. Only pictures I have on my phone at the moment esc is on the battery tray(Bowhouse RC LCG battery tray) just over the transmission rx is on the side of the motor and room for a small battery upfront or servo winch or other electronics http://crawlerinnovations.com/traxxas-trx4-front-electronics-tray/

This is pretty much exactly what I was thinking of doing. Just wasn’t sure how much room I’d have for a battery.

So best fits softcase lipos fender tubs could probably be modified to allow for more room. Or no inner fender tubs.

i posted pictures of battery sizes that fit based on what i have on hand. hope it will help you figure out space and size for electronics and battery relocation.

Moved my Mamba X to the front. Fits real well and I figure getting the air could help cool it.

You might not be able to tell, but I also moved the control block about a half inch closer to the front. I don’t know if this will help, but I figured it would t hurt to move it as close to forward as I could possibly move it on that slider.

I can't tell but it looks really good. For trail run purposes i took my esc fan off. Might reinstall it if needed in the summer but i don't think i will need to.

I thought about doing the same... I might just unplug it and plug it in as needed

Welp... I finally broke down and did it. The Mamba is up front, and the rest of the electronics are sitting on a bracket I built. Uses all stock
Mounting spots and no modifications to anything needed. I think it’s perfect for what I wanted to do!
