I just picked up a slash 4x4. In maybe January or so id like to put a nice setup in it. I'm still not very familiar with the brushless stuff. I've read alot on the basics like what the kv and etc means. So I guess I'm just looking to see what you guys would suggest for it. I don't nessacairly need huge top end speed but I'd like plenty of it. I know I see a lot of people always mention tekin. Is reedy ok? It's in my pro sc 4x4 and it seems to be ok. Or should I just go with the traxxas setup? And I will be running 3s half the time. So if any of you guys that run short course want to, let me know what you like! I've only been into short course and brushless stuff for a couple months so any suggestions will be great! Thanks!!!!!

I've got a Mamba Pro and Puller Pro 540 3500kv in mine. Its all sorts of high speed wheelie fun on 3s! Buying a combo today, the ESC would be a mamba X. The Puller can be thrown into any crawler as well, and have much better startup performance than other choices that would push your rig without overheating.

Anything 4 pole and around 3500-3800kv would be good for you. Alot of people like Hobbywing, Tekin, or the Castle stuff.
