Rooted stock S4 on MK2. It's an old build but I've been too lazy to update and reroot. Don't want to mess with beta builds of whatever is coming up.

You?

LG G2 not rooted. I rooted when I first got it but idk not really worth it anymore. Just got updated to lollipop too. also last time I tried to root it it didn't work.

I'm running the same setup.

I haven't updated because a lot of the devs are trying to make one click root methods and they don't work a lot of the time.

It's getting very fractured out there. Several phones use the same methods and people claim it works with this or that and it doesnt

After this thread I looked it up and found a one click root for my g2.worked perfect. Getting recovery has my head spinning. Haven't messed with root since 2013.

That's great. While gaining root access, many phones were never designed with unlocked bootlaoders, like the old engineering bootloaders, so there may not be a way, or an easy way, of installing a custom recovery. I think I have TWRP touch on mine, I haven't made a nand for a loooong time, though. I have all my apps and system settings backed up every night, so ehh
