Facepalm facebook fail finds

Most of us have done things that others might find questionable a time or two. I went to my first "big event" last fall and witnessed a couple people pointing at my pride and joy all while laughing. I knew when I built it, it was a little bit out there, and people wouldn't understand the body on my crawler if they'd never seen my 1:1 Monte. I've got a good sense of humor and make fun of it myself, but it seems like a lot of people get to serious about these fawking toy's and even though they can point and laugh, you'll hit a nerve if you poke fun of their toy. Anyway, even though I didn't get first, I still placed, and that's more than most of the big money, over the top and down right purdy rigs did. Guess what I'm sayin is... If you can't laugh at yourself, you shouldn't laugh at others, or make fun of their toy's. People ask what the hell I'm running and I tell them "a pile of shit I had lying around all zip tied together" then we chuckle about it. "thumbsup" This thread has been a lot of fun, but the next time any one of us makes fun of someone's rig just remember. It might out crawl yours and that we've all been on here laughing at people and their toy's behind their backs. Except that R1 thingy I posted the other day. That thing is a hunk of shit :lmao: Nearing the end of my rant that seems to be going nowhere, I'll post a pic of my Monte Crawler so a few can snicker  Erector set front body mounts and for rear body mounts we have a pair of stock Wraith links :flipoff:

hey im down for a laugh post it up

This is as close as it gets.

Tcs eclipse chassis that's been cut up and boogered back together a few times. This incarnation has the battery next to the driveline and the esc above the rear links. I changed the front links today and brnt the uppers to clear thar big ass 7980 since I used different servo mounts that raised it up to be level with the d lux modded housing. Now I'm just waiting for the new motor to show up.

Pre servo and front truss. I need to swap on longer shocks and limit them. I have too much front uptravel at this point.

My first scx was a skyscraper, thanks to RCC and the critics, they showed me the light. I am sure my current scx jobs would catch some hell, but I can take it. I think the biggest thing that helped me was running with peers. Sure, I still poke fun at the super suspension set ups that I use to find awesome, but also try to explain why they are not as awesome as I once originally thought. Pretty sure some of my home made stuff could easily find its way in here for a few laughs, but hell, if it creates joy and conversation amongst us, I'm game.

One of the few things that was pretty low(IMO) was Z50 fishing for uneducated responses from new persons in the hobby that have the aesthetics and cheap "upgrades" bug, then thrashing them here where they won't likely see it.
