Facepalm facebook fail finds

DickyT, those look about like what I run. Now I am scared mine are going to end up here! Maybe I should post mine and get it over with?

Really? LOL.

Yep! lol... Ok, now I put it up on Facebook.

I'm just poking fun at myself, it's a good rig and gets after it on the trail too!

I call it my fail rig because I got lazy, drilled body pin holes rather than make hidden Velcro mounts, it is winchless, and has no fender wells... Yep, lazy fail rig! lol

You just described my giant bronco with the fake winch and 48 inches of ground clearance. The sumbitch is fun as hell though and it crawls like crazy.

It's all good lol. After six years of being here I quoted a pic in the yeti pics thread not realizing I guess it was a pic thread( absent minded moment). Earned me an infraction or something like that. Got a nice pretty new tab on my profile when I view it now. Oh well. Live n learn.

You set the bar too high for yourself then, I don't see anything fail about it.

I was being sarcastic, it is a good rig, and thank you! I did cut some corners that I usually would not (body pins, no fender wells, and light stickers rather than buckets) to get it running for this weekend. But they can be done in time when I thrash this shell.

There are so many junk rigs in this thread, it is good to add something decent from time to time.

What's wrong with the purpose built mud truck? Narrowed wheels n tires and stiff typical upright shocks? Body's high but that's normal too for one. And the custom yeti one looks cool too. Really outside the box. I'd be proud to drive it. I must be missing something?

The first two I posted are definitely fails. The mud truck looks just a bit too tall. The last pic, I didn't realize that it was a Yeti. Just looked odd to me. Not that familiar with them. Fail on my part.

I thought about posting a tip on running sand in the diffs to break them in. Shim them snug then run a bit o sand and that's the trick for perfect meshing lol. But I know someone would.

Reminds me of a guy named grover on here, who intentionally removed the entire bottom half of Clodbuster pumpkins to expose the plastic gears for forward grip when stuck on the center.

He also cut up a Moots titanium handlebar for a stick truck.

The broken axle housing was mine...the vented part was the joke that some people missed apparently.

2 hours after that pic, I was here:flipoff:

Thank you EeePee, my thoughts exactly
