Finally got to drive my Phoenix today and it definitely didn't disappoint. Loved driving it so much. The ability to throw it into rear wheel drive and do donuts is awesome and it climbs like a goat. About the only thing I didn't like was the noise of the motor. Super loud. I was getting dirty looks from hikers. Ha. And my shocks are leaking so have to look into that. I impulse purchased a Traxxas High Trail at my Hobby Shop yesterday ( much to the delight of my kid who has already taken it over ) and was fun to drive them back to back. The Vanquish feels way more solid and crawled much better but the TRX was fun to blast around and jump. Thanks for all the help on this forum getting me sorted. Mike

The yellow beast is on the march, everyone take cover. You probably tightened the shock cap to much, I found my left rear is leaking too and it was to tight. :)

After I first assembled my shocks in the kit I filled with 10w because all I had. 3 of 4 shocks leaked pretty bad. I recently took them apart drained the remaining 10w and reassembled using plenty of green slime on shock shaft and all threads and filled w 40w. So far no more leaks.
