well half way thru the second pack today my buddy let the smoke out of the stock motor!! i was really happy that it lasted this long. i guess we've ran 25 packs thru this thing (2s 3300mah's).

anyway, i'm in the market for a new motor. want to stay brushed. wouldn't mind swapping the esc, but may just get another motor for now. thinking about a brxl and 13t crawlmaster, just not sure if i can talk the wife into it right now.

any recommendations on motors? or should i just order from holmes hobbies and hope the wife doesn't see the box!

i did exactly that. brxl, crawlmaster 13t. just order it up, spring for the water proofing.

anybody else? i'm running 2s lipo's right now, and i figure if i go brxl-13t crawlmaster i'll step up to 3s. but then i gotta do driveshaft upgrade!!

i thought about just getting a 35t integy lathe motor to get by, but i think that will kill the speed the wraith has.

is anybody running a 35 turn motor on the stock esc? how's the speed?

i've emailed holmes hobbies twice now, no response. i know they must be busy being the best out there, just looking for reasons to dump another $180 instead of cheaping out!:ror:

Dont think about it... just do it.. thar mentality has a brlx and a 13t crawlmaster headin my way right now haha

I'm running the BRXL waterproofed and 20t Torque Master on 3s. It has the perfect balance of wheel speed and low end crawling. It is a little cheaper than the Crawl Master and has one hell of a drag brake also. Look for the Rock Racer combo on his site.

Got to run with pdog over the weekend and his setup worked really good! There is more top end speed and bottom end punch over my stock setup running 3s. The thing that's really great about his setup was the increase of run time he was getting and his motor was only getting slightly warm to where mine got so hot I burnt up the motor.

im running a holmes hobby water prrof esc and a cheap integy 35 turn lathe motor with a 3 cell and its a little faster than stock yet i can crawl up anything with the factory gearing. runs great dont want to go any faster since your drivetrain will go
