First Scaler

Hey champ very nice just got a few questions for you...

Is that the proline body?
How does it fit length wise? did you have to mod anything?
And also I can see you trimmed abit of the rear bumper to clear the dingo bumper?

Thanks heaps

As i want that body on my dingo too"thumbsup"

Thank you!
Yup, it's the Pro-Line. I needed to extend the rear axle just a bit. You can see on the 2nd page of this thread toward the bottom how it fit with the stock plastic links. I upgraded to the Traxxas Red Aluminum links (Part#5318x) and added 1 Traxxas aluminum spacer (Part#5133) on each rod and it fit perfectly! I added aluminum links to the front to match and the included stock 4-link to the rear.
I trimmed what would have been the actual 1:1 rear bumper off and it looked good to me. I also had to extend the Axial bumper as far as it would go to match. The front bumper was also fully extended and raised with small aluminum plates. Just browse around my thread for ideas.

Good luck! "thumbsup"

That side by side comparison picture really shows how big they are lol. Definitely Super Swampers "thumbsup"

Bumpers!

Finally have an update to post!
I got my bumpers yesterday and started to work on mounting them.
Today I finished up the front mounting plates, bought some M3 screws and nuts, and put it all together. I'm really happy with how they turned out! My front bumper is definitely NOT coming off with my (overkill) 16 bolts. lol

No exciting pictures so I'll post some up later when I go scaling this weekend with Chris (Gimp). Enjoy!

Thats one sick jeep!
Nice rig......

Thanks guys! I'm really happy with it

I finally made some wheel wells last night too from baby wipe containers. Now I just need to sand, paint, and reinstall them and it will look ever better! "thumbsup"

Wheel wells are painted and installed. I also mounted the stock light buckets to the winch plate on the bumper. I wasn't sure what to do with the other stock "fog lights" and red tail lights, so I drilled some holes into the wheel wells and made them into flood lights for the rocks.

Here are some pics of just the Axial lights on (no head/tail lights).

I have been wondering if anyone else has done this so I decided to try it anyway. It's not the best job, just a test. I'll need a magnifying glass if I do it again though! "thumbsup"

Thanks guys! I'm not sure if I want to risk painting the other tires. Maybe when I get new ones, I'll practice more on these old ones. But I wonder how quickly they'll wear off from crawling?
paint looks good....only one way to find out how long it will last."thumbsup"
