Ordered a much more stuff and completed more on the body.

Went ahead and made the sides for the rear bus. I made some alterations as to where the axels are going to sit so I have room for the door and it more like the actual 1:1 now anyways.

The axle was a bit to small so had to modify it again and drops and inch and a half off the width

After I got it all cut down I wanted to mount it together but first I had to create some stairs for the door way.

Ok so I decided I would do it in sections to get the angles and stuff lol this isn't easy so I made some frames for it to follow.

I started to play with fire to get it to bend easier and I ended up warping it pretty good. :/ wish I had a heat gun might have worked better then a lighter.

Also did more work on the body. Cut out the headlight slots and blinkers and covered a lot in puddy which I'll be sanding tomorrow when it's fully dry. I'll take pics tomorrow sorry I forgot to bring my phone with me for that part.

Yea im super excited about the new movie but wont see it till im back in the states. but work has my time all eaten up so i try to get atleast an hour work done every night. and thank you for noticing the details. i watch the mobile lab clips before every work session for motivation lol. just trying to get the interior down. the movie doesnt show everything so some i might just have to wing it.

Still looks great! Way outside the box on any of the builds I've seen on the forum. Now if you can find a toy T-Rex to go along with it: Smithsonian RC radio control animated action dinosaur you've got a movie to make... LOL!

lol iv thought on this alot and i cant find any that are big enough or realistic. i mean i can find some detailed statues for in the scale size for a good 500 or something but not exactly the price range id be looking for.

That one is 9" tall and 17" long, a few camera tricks can make him look 50' tall...

Placed in on the chassis to see how it would look and I think I'm liking it. Gonna have to get some longer links for the front tho

Starting the rear bus now before I do the interior or roof for the first one. That way I don't use the styrene sheets meant for the second bus lol. Anyways
Step one draw out the position of everything
cc15903c5d050dcf7eb01d0c23789fb4.jpg

Step two cut out the windows this is the easy part lol
6065170b3b5f837d4ba31debca4a6e4e.jpg

Step three cut out the cargo doors but save the pieces to use as the doors and if you brake the bottom edge like I did on the first one just glue it back together lol
b335dc1fded773e7ca9d673d9a3c339a.jpg

Step four make narrow strips I used the L shape pieces just cut in half because I'm lazy lol but you can use anything.

4e8d7dbdce4b6b9ea5a796302fc9213f.jpg

Step five is to glue the strips to the back to create a block so the doors don't swing back and fourth

ae2ad293ccf77b82e84c3a578c95de48.jpg

Step six sand down or cut down the doors a tad bit so they sit in the spots with easy motion. Then just tape them in place and we will finish them later.

This is it for today. Check in tomorrow I will be cutting out the light sockets, the mid frame line, and putting the bars on the windows. Have a great day everyone :)!

love it also the front sitting on the chassis looks exactly how I was picturing the size in my mind can not wait to see the outcome, also I learned how to make a dust cover and battery tray for my xr from someone on the forums here "forgot name" you use a light and some wood to make a tiny slit so when the light is on it slowly and evenly melts plastic infront of the slit to be bent easier, this is how I use it on any plastic bigger then my palm otherwise lighter "thumbsup" and you could always say it was "the after crash picture" aka the damage lol

Sounds interesting! Might have to try it when I need to bend more pieces. I think the front was the only main part that had to be bent.
