Flysky gt3b interference. Several of them

5 of us have the gt3b system. Several months ago my vehicles started to freak out when my buddy turns on his flysky radio. Instantly. I pretty much have no control over my vehicle. As soon as he shuts his radio off, everything on mine is normal. His radio and car have 0 glitches or problems when this happens.
I have swapped out receivers on my buggy, and he on his and same problem exists. We decided not to run the radios at the same time.
3 weeks ago, another buddies radio started interfering with another guys gt3b system. Same symptoms and only 1 radio was being effected.
Then last week, the 5th gt3b radio started glitching my spektrum radio (got rid of the flysky so I could run with the group). We have run them at the same time many times before. Very strange.
These are unhacked radios. Receiver swaps do nothing. Has this ever happened to anyone here? All but 1 of us have ditched the flysky systems because of this problem.

FlySky are decent bang for the buck and eminently hackable, but weren't really built to the strictest standards, including their outputs possible effect on others systems. We run weekly with 30-40 guys running Spektrum, Sanwa, Airtronics, KO Propo, Futaba, etc. We never had a single problem until a guy showed up with a GT3C. They "may" have gotten their FCC certification, but I'd be willing to bet its dodgy.

I have not seen this issue, but I have read on this forum a few cases of issues. Most are with a GT3B and Spektrum radios.

Curious to see if this is a bigger thing or hit & miss.

we got a local off road track one the the guys at my LHS race at, they dont allow flysky radios for this same reason

our current group of scalers run futaba, spectrim, stock axial and 2 flyskys. so far no problems

I have never had an issue with mine (stock unhacked). My club moved our course to a lhs with an offroad and dirt oval track, so there are usually 5-30 radios on and operating in the building at one time, no troubles. I have seen a few of the offroad racers using gt3bs also.

(If it goes buggy next time I'm there I blame you!):ror:

Are you saying a flysky system is glitching another flysky system?

Flyskys do glitch out spektrums but i've never heard of them causing other flysky's to glitch out.

Our crawler group (GSRCRC in NJ) has a variety of radios, I don't recall any issues with my hacked GT3B messing with any other radios.
This includes a few Futaba's (4PL & others), Spektrum, Airtronics, Nomadio, etc.

Yes. I was the other guy with the FlySky. When I turned mine on, his started glitching. If I turned mine off, his was fine again. We both changed receivers. Same result.

The Flyskys were glitching other flysky radios as well as a few spektrums. All but 1 of us solved the problem by ditching the flysky all together. When Swass would turn on his flysky transmitter, my flysky equiped vehicles would be uncontrollable. Instant problem as soon as he switched his on. Swapping receivers did not help.

I don't know about other radios but mine will shut my wifi down. If I am watching net flix and I turn my radio on it will stall the show till I shut if off kinda crappy really cause now I can't tune my car and watch the tube at the same time

Don't put that transmitter near your junk.. Or your head. Who knows what it will do. LOL.! Im deducting that some have problems with these radios, and some don't. For me, the glitching was 1 of a few problems. One of the larger problems was the delay in the receivers getting the signal from the transmitter. Not a big deal on my crawler, but when driving my 5th scale baja truck it was a hazard. For the money, it is a great bargain for a crawler radio, but I can't trust it for my other rigs.
