Got this sent to me,

And all on pump gas Lets see that camaro or challenger even hold the line with one of these.

And think of this engine in a Raptor...?? I myself would be the first one in line no matter what the price tag was.

Want to have the baddest Mustang in your neighborhood? In your city? In your state? Shelby may have created exactly what you desire. Dubbed the Code Red GT500, this monster muscle car packs an amazing 1,000+ twin turbo charged horsepower!

In September Shelby American posed a question to Mustang enthusiasts on their website; which Mustang excited you the most? Of the cars presented the one that caught everyone's attention was the sinister looking black and red GT500 which was said to create over 1,000 horsepower. At the time the car was nothing more than a rendering and a list of potential options but we can now say for sure that at least one prototype of the car actually exists. The Code Red GT500, which was unveiled today, is a collaboration between Shelby and Chatworth California engine builder Nelson Racing Engines. Taking the GT500's already potent 5.4L engine, Nelson heavily modified it's internals to take the abuse of its new found twin 61mm Turbonetics turbochargers. It then added a dual fuel system allowing the car to run both race and street gas. An electronic boost controller, which has the ability to control boost levels based on gear selection and rpm, was a necessity to make the car drivable. The result? Well according to Tom Nelson the car was built to make between 1,000 and 1,200 horsepower but can peak at a crazy 1,400hp!

Will Shelby build it? That’s hard to say. They have definitely made the baddest truly streetable GT500 we've ever seen and we would love to see more.

Check out the video below for clips of the car being thrashed on the street!

THIS IS BAD ARSE!"thumbsup"
This is a damn rocket, man!
Love the power of those muscle cars, but the drivability is an issue.... but who cares, once u push the accelerator at the crossroad:lmao:

I'm willing to bet the 1000hp is on race gas, but impressive none the less. I think I actually saw a vid with one of the nelson boys driving it on the street?

While I love Mustangs, and this one looks especially sick, the 1000 hp number isn't really impressive from a twin turbo V8... Search Youtube and see how many supras and the like out there pumping more from 6s... Not saying I'd turn it down or not buy it if I could, I'm just saying...

It said 1000 hp on 91 octane pump gas, 1200 on a mix probably 110 and 91 octane and peaks out at 1400 hp on straight race gas.

all you ford knockers can say what you want but those are impresive numbers no matter what make there in. And this isnt a highly machined stroker its just a stock 331ci 5.4l with upgraded fuel system and twin turbo's as far as I can see. theres probably some hitec inards but still none the less this is one powerfull ride.

Yep. Over 1000hp on the stock 5.4l block with far less displacement than the other big 1 1/2 bailout queens would use to make the same power.

Another prime example of rcc being a porn site"thumbsup"

JK, and all you FORD haters:flipoff: if it wasn't for uncle sam all you chevy fans would no longer have new cars to think about. Ford is just a better company PERIOD, and make better vehicles too. Combine it with shelby and amazing stuff happens.
